I'd rather wait and throw him in vs Killie personally. Who would you drop? Lasley? Or Cadden and play Pearson on the left and Johnson on the right I suppose might work. Superward's team looks decent I'd have Fletcher or Moult ahead of skippy if playing a lone striker though. At least we have more options

I should still make the Friday one but I'm not going to be able to make the Saturday one since I work Saturday mornings. That will be the 4th season ticket game I've missed already and with weddings and stag doo's coming up I'm gonna miss more by the end of the season. The season ticket just isn't value for money for me anymore. May get one of the flexi ones next season instead

Transfer deadline day is great when we are actually expecting to be involved. Can't see it being quite as exciting as last January's deadline though.
-
I'm assuming your referring to McGhee's interview about his application in training? The way I took it his application wasn't great because he got dropped may well be wrong though.
-
I agree with what your saying but how many crosses did Johnson put in on Saturday that Ross County's back two managed to deal with. I just feel Hall has made a few mistakes recently and Kennedy got dropped after a few mistakes so it's only fair to drop him as well in my opinion of course
-
Hopefully Hammell and Law make it I think we need them to get a good result in this one. I think one of the big talking points should be whether we drop Hall or not. Personally I would put Kennedy back to centre back because we are losing too many goals again. I'd start the same midfield and forward two as Saturday unless McGhee manages to sign someone worth putting in.

I'm sure the American version has a wage cap as well how do they decide what that is and can all the clubs involved afford it? Can't see it happening and even if it did a bosman type court ruling would break it anyway Or maybe I've got it wrong I've not really read the proposal

I'd be looking for at least double 400K for Marvellous even if we are desperate for the money. Out of interest how much did we actually pay for him?
-
Hopefully we're on the right end of Collum's made up penalties for once

I think folk are getting a wee bit carried away. United missed a barrel load of chances in their last two home games against partick and accies and should have won both of them (judging by sportscene highlights). I have the fear that it may click for them at some point just hopefully not this weekend. I'd take a draw

It's that time of the season when we all get our hopes up that it might just be our year. To be fair ICT, St Johnstone, Killie and St Mirren have all won a cup recently so with a bit of luck why not. So who are we all wanting? I want any of the league 1 sides at home please. Also am I right in saying the draws on Tuesday?

Does anyone else find the posts we see on here after almost every game calling the opposition "very physical and cynical" laughable? It's football ffs and we have the likes of Pearson in our team. No need.
-
That was a big improvement in terms of actually looking dangerous going forward and us actually getting stuck in - grimshaw and Pearo were like men possessed. I thought we were the better team until Hearts second equaliser when we seemed to sit back. I put that part down to Hearts upping their game and part down to Ainsworth replacing Johnson who was a much better outball today. I'd start the same midfield against Partick. Kennedy has a couple of mistakes in him today which to be fair isn't like him. By the way what a find Louis Moult is how many goals is that now? He may just score the goals to keep us up.

Some of the posts in this thread about losing over a million, budgeting for top 6, cup run and player sales and the accounts not looking great give me the fear. It makes the signings of Robinson and Samson even more strange. We really need to live within our means even if it means dropping down a division.

That boy loves a pair of shorts I don't think I've seen him at a game where he's not wearing shorts and a hoody. A draw would probably have been a fairer result but 3 points, and clean sheet and a cracking finish for the goal I'll gladly take.

I only started going regularly around 2003 and I missed skippy Sunday and the fitzy game. Off the top of my head the 6-6 game vs hibs, the 2-2 game at St Johnstone in Jim Gannon's first league was a cracker, pumping St Johnstone in the Scottish cup semi, the 2-2 game at Hearts in the game after Phil what a comeback that day, pumping thistle 5-1 a few seasons ago, coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Easter road or winning 1-0 at Celtic when Bob Malcolm got sent off are all candidates. The winner for me though is fucking the h**s 3-0 to stay up last season what a relief and what a sing song. That was the first time id seen us beat a team called "Rangers" live.

The bbc gossip column is shouting Thierry Henry. No chance
-
Looking at the upcoming games we really could do with 3 points here. Ripley Reid - Laing - Kennedy - Chalmers Ainsworth - Lasley - Grimshaw - Johnson Moult - McDonald That's how id line up. I've not given up on Robinson yet but he doesn't deserve to start. I wouldn't be adverse to Thomas starting ahead of ainsworth as the latter usually makes a good impact off the bench. I'll greet if Jake Taylor starts.

Couldn't really see what happened from where I was but the steward getting led away was holding his face. It's not really surprising the bois get special attention due to the smoke bombs etc and the fact they keep singing my old man. As if singing a daft song about Stanley knifes and spanners won't draw attention. I like what they do in the most part
-
If we lose to Morton and fail to beat Partick then I'm firmly in the out camp. The hoofball football and the lack of goals make watching us a chore. Galling to think the money we're wasting on Jake Taylor and Craig Samson could have been used to pay him off if it comes to that.

Is there no open all mics tonight?
-
It's brilliant having someone keeping us up to date on social media I'm not sure about this skippy in midfield chat. Against Celtic, Aberdeen and some of the tougher away games fair enough but I want him upfront pressing, scoring goals and being a general nuisance for defenders which was key to our good home form at the end of last season.

Thank feck we won't have to suffer that again
