i forgot about Samson's chest and volley. It was good skills but completely unnecessary as it was never a back pass, which made it even better. It's always good getting a gift of a goal by the opposition. Their goalie was worse with cross balks than Samson. Moult and McDonald were good to watch and deserved their goals. Cadden was finding space just behind them and I liked the look of him playing in that role. Clay needs to work on his shooting. The young boys were solid on the left hand side of defence and I'd be disappointed if at least one of them doesn't start against Hearts. The two year deal we have to Hammell isn't looking like the best move at the moment. The thistle fans seethe for Skippy was my favourite part of yesterday.

The fact it probably will come down to goal difference means the likes of Campbell, Thomas, Mackin and Ferguson will be unlikely to get a start on Tuesday which is a shame. There was another shocker Lasley did on James Dayton at rugby park 2 or 3 seasons ago in a game Fraser Kerr also got sent off in. He made no attempt to play the ball at all. That and the fyvie one are the only two I can think of that we're proper dirty.

i didn't realise that Tait was Scots so that's a bonus. The way I'm viewing the skippy situation is we have the option but we're trying to get him to take a pay cut rather than just activating it.

I've missed 7 season ticket games this season through a variety of reasons such as not being able to make early kick offs due to work, illness, stag doo's, weddings and family events etc. It's just not value for money anymore so I'll be pay at the gate and will get to every game I can. Although having a season book is handy in the unlikely event that we actually make a cup final or two.

There was apparently 2500 fans (including jambo's as well) there which was much more than I'd expected. I thought Hearts slightly shaded the first half but there was very few chances all round and we dominated the second half with Hall's error being the only downside. The last two goals were terrific I'm looking forward to seeing them back on the highlights. I'd agree with most people that Campbell, Cadden and Thomas were the stands out but hopefully a few more of the youngsters will make the step up to the first team. My first game was sometime in the mid 90's against Killie at Fir Park and I was actually in the away end. I don't remember much about it but Killie scored a penalty and the ref made them retake it and that one was saved. Finished 2-0 to Motherwell
