I think there’s maybe an issue with him settling by the sounds of it. Although it does surprise me a bit as I watched Slanes you tube thing and Lennon had said all communication is in English between the players and management so you’d think it’d be much easier for him.
I have watched Udinese a few times and they are a good side and they are a massive team, all units who are all mobile and good on the ball. Lennon still just looks (and is) a young boy. But I do agree a move back to Scotland would be backwards step. It’s a difficult one for him.
He’s as well coming back to us on loan. We play better football than either rangers or celtic and their fans have always said he’s not good enough to play there. They’ll give him stick from day one.
id be disappointed to see him leave Udinese but the lad does have to play. Like someone mentioned above, farm him out to another Italian side rather than a backward step to Rangers/Celtic.
I think I’m going against the grain here but I really enjoyed that game today, I thought at periods during that game we were exceptional. The way we shifted the ball about is better than anyone else in the league. What we do miss though is that striker who we’d be confident of converting any half chance also a solid reliable goalie.
Hope we can use some cash quickly to get a couple of players in rather than having money in the bank and paying a chunk of it to the taxman
I’d suggest that should have been the team that started last week.
no Halliday on the bench either? Mmmm wonder if the jumping around a couch supporting Rangers on Sunday didn’t go down so well. Or maybe the little bit of criticism about our performance/ set up v st Mirren did it.
I still think a draw would be a good result tomorrow. Aberdeen are looking much better just now but I’m hopeful the exertions of their midweek game has taken it out them. We need something from the game as I know I’m still deflated after Saturday, so the players will be worse.
It’s going to be ups and downs but I just don’t see a Kettlewell style free fall?
The standard of refereeing has never been good but I really feel since the introduction of VAR it’s got 100 times worse. We have some appalling referees in this country
I always thought Imrie would have done well with us, he was an annoying wee git as a player but I always thought there were a lot of comparisons to Dougie Arnott, just a total nuisance who opposing players hated playing against.
im glad him and his family got support from the fans message, its nice to hear.
They’ve only been given 2 sections of the main stand and 2 behind the goals and 9500. They say it may be increased but I don’t see how as Celtic will snap all them up.
Anyway not our problem as we shat the bed on Saturday but as a sign of things to come, families are being totally shafted and priced out the game.
I don’t want to discuss St Midden any longer or any more than I have to but did you see the prices for the final? £46 for an adult!! £28 for a concession!! Fk me….. get it right up them!!!
joking aside….. that is utterly scandalous
Does anyone know if Motherwell TV is showing this on Sunday? It says international only?
im not sure if Red Tv is showing it either but I don’t really want to give them the money.
I think it’s obvious Welsh took a knock against Dundee Utd and wasn’t 100% for Saturday. JBA I think rates him highly and he’d have started if he was fully fit.
The Slattery one completely confused me though on Saturday, he needs to play as he brings the best out in Just, Watt and Fadinger. To play him for 90mins against Utd and drop him to the bench was utter madness.
I really hope we have a proper reaction in this game following the disaster on Saturday. Surely our players must be fuming at themselves. Get out there and prove they are a good side.
I do get what you mean, and as much as I dislike the old firm I am not a shout at the clouds type of guy when I watch him do this or not celebrate against Rangers last season. It is what it is and we know he’s a blue nose.
Having just spent a fortune though on Saturday getting to the match and having sat through a horrendous game and what should have been a winnable semi final to then see one of our better paid players jumping up and down celebrating a rangers penalty on the other semi final was a bit of a hard one to take…. Not that I watched it all I have to say so his behaviour may have got better or worse?
as I say, it probably annoyed me more than it should have as I’m sure he’s on his way out the door anyway.
After seeing highlights of Halliday sitting on a couch with Paul slane commentating and celebrating all things Rangers, I now realise why he’s not had many minutes this season. I get the Rangers fan stuff etc but he’s still our player and we’ve just had a horrific result yesterday….. read the room man!!!
