  1. I’d have sacked him at half time v Germany and got the unemployed Moyes in the studio to take over. he has qualified for tournaments but let’s be honest, it’s groups that we should have got out of and it is (apart from the centre of defence) the best group of players we’ve had in over 20yrs. We’ve also been humiliated at both tournaments playing a horrific style of football. anyway, apologies this is a match thread. 3 points to the Well on Saturday.
  2. As time goes on with him in charge of Scotland the less arsed I am about the national team. He’s not stepped foot in fir park in years and continues to pick guys like Hanley and Ralston. His comments basically saying our individuals aren’t as good as the collective team must have p1ssed off a few of our players. I hope we go out and destroy Hibs and highlight “again” Hanley as a weak link.
  3. The Hibs game at fir park is up there with one of the highlights of the season for me. I can’t remember the stats but it was something mindblowing like 80% possession and 900 completed passes or something. I went home that night laughing to myself how crazy it was. if we can play half as well we will win although I know their team has changed slightly. Looking forward to it.
  4. that was a brilliant insight into the team, season and club in general. I thoroughly enjoyed that. He never fails to impress me. for a guy to be able to speak in this way and come over so clearly when English isn’t his first language is utterly incredible. and Jens was quite good too (joke)
  5. I got around to watching the game again. I think Chamberlains crunch on Just was a booking although I have seen reds given. I don’t think it was intentional and it wasn’t as bad as Gogic on Slattery which also resulted in a booking so fair enough. Maeda should have got at least a booking for the arm to face on said. The boot in the baws afterwards definitely merited that in its own right. I think JTs penalty claim is a penalty…. It’s a push in the back and if JT stumbled and goes to ground like a normal human being I think it’s given….. unfortunately he does what appears to be a star jump and makes the whole thing look ridiculous and I can understand why they’ve not given it. the penalty was unfortunately a penalty. I’d have been screaming for that if it was at our end. The double jeopardy stuff is beyond me though and beyond the referees as well…. God knows what the bar is with that.
  6. Not sure if any of you watched that eye bleeder yesterday St Mirren v Rangers (honestly one of the worst games I’ve seen in years) but Allan Campbell played most of the match and that boy has went so far back it’s criminal. By the second half when he collected the ball he was getting booed by his own fans (no surprise the booing and St Mirren, they are excellent booers) I felt for the boy, he’s certainly no where near the player we had. Seems to have lost every shred of confidence he had.
  7. Just was the best player on the park…. By a distance
  8. I’m still annoyed by the Dundee game, much more so than that yesterday. If we’d have played with the same attitude against Dundee as we did yesterday we’d be sitting on 56 points and miles clear of Hibs.
  9. I’d agree, I’ve not seen too much in him yet but I do think we need to mix it up a little. I’d move Maswanhise wide and have him play off the big man. As much as I love wee Said I think he’s been off it for a few weeks, he might have a stronger impact coming on as sub. certainly nothing to get worked up about, the football is still good to watch and there’s 8 great games left to the season. Let’s face it, even the happiest of clappers couldn’t have predicted we’d be in this position when we played Twente in pre season.
  10. Don’t have any arguments with that today. I thought we did fine and played really good stuff at times and infact i felt we were having the upper hand at the time of the penalty/sending off. After that it was damage management. Nothing to get too disheartened about, the next 2 home games are the more crucial ones. We need to stay in 4th and try and cause a bit of mayhem in the top 6.
  11. Halliday as the emergency left back cover I see
  12. Looks like McGregor is out for Saturday. As much as he’s a bit past it he’s still important to them so I hope we can dominate the midfield. I’d like Tierney out as well as he’s been one of their better performers of late. Fadinger is fit as well which is brilliant news but the “he took a bump on his nose” comment about why he came off last week is a wee bit strange. I’m hoping it was a wee bit sorer than a bump on the nose? These Austrians sound saft 🤣 also RCC out again for a few weeks, I’m finding it hard to warm to this guy. Anyway… As much as last weeks result deflated me, I have a second wind of enthusiasm. A narrow win for the good guys.
  13. They won’t make a statement about how rotten to the core both clubs are. Rangers: really sorry about the pitch invasion and the assaults on the police and Celtic coach and the incessant sectarian singing….. but Celtic started it. Celtic: sorry about the mini pitch invasion, the rushing of the turnstiles, the vandalism and the tagging of 66 all over Ibrox….. but Rangers started it. its just boring whataboutery all the time and anyone with a brain knows it. Dock the 2 of them points and make them play in an empty stadium for 6 months. That’ll fk them both off!! starting on Saturday please.
  14. I know if Jens was to go and we appoint someone like Robinson I’d be annoyed. It’s worse than an underwhelming appointment. now add that to the mix of Aberdeens self worth and view of their own importance and I’d imagine there will be a mass of rage in the north east community. as someone who isn’t too keen on Aberdeen or St Mirren…. It’s an appointment I’m very much enjoying
