A good thing about his performances and how well he’s carried himself with interviews etc is that he’s out priced the old scum buying him. No way would either of them pay more than £2-3m for a guy his age from another Scottish club.

League 1 aside Sheffield Wed are one of the biggest clubs in England. Probably twice the size/support of the majority of premiership clubs. It’s a decent move for him.

Eli was brilliant in that first half, an absolute stand out I thought. 2nd half Egypt were much better and deserved the win but he’s really showing himself up as a class act. St John was hugely important to Liverpool and its history. Him and Ron Yeats were the 2 who sparked Shankley’s reign of success. St John will be in their top 10 I’d imagine.

Hendry has been one of the biggest disappointments in years. A total dud of a signing. What a wasted wage. we need a number of players in so hopefully the backroom people are on it and Alfred has a couple of picks up his sleeve. I look forward to the first darkened video of a players shadow.
