I actually think this as well. I’m not sure why I just don’t see him as a long term Motherwell manager. I hope I’m wrong and I hope we win on Saturday and stay in the top 6 and he stays but just something is niggling away thinking he won’t be. The fact his family aren’t coming over worries me, family is the main thing for people and if things don’t go well they are the first people to help you out. I know Alexander’s family and Mcghees were both down south but that was just a few hours in the car or an hours flight, the ar5e end of Germany is a big trickier to make a quick trip to see his young kids.

Dundee 2 up now. I have to admit I did feel they are a better side than their league table suggests, they also have something we don’t have, a striker who scores goals.
-
How long do you consider “short term” I’ve been in short term pain for about 6yrs
-
You sure you are not in the littlest bit concerned? The past few performances do not give me any form of confidence. That second goal is something an under 12 side would be embarrassed to concede.
-
At no point am I blaming Wimmer on this as he’s been left in charge of the jolly boys outing, but why on earth is Taswanhise not involved here? He’s been the one creative spark this season. He must be appalling at training.
-
That’s bold. I’d be happy if they were all correct
-
They will be the team in the play off, I have no doubt about it. And if we have to face them with this team of loanees and out of contract players, on another terrible plastic park we are in serious bother.
-
If we finish second bottom…… which is looking more and more likely. There is no way on earth we are beating Livingston over two games…. Not a chance in hell.
-
Excellent well done Balmer ya fkn idiot. As soft as it was he knew exactly what he was doing, you don’t follow through like that. game over, we created nothing with 11 men so I can only imagine what we’ll be like now.

What a feast of football on show. Brutal so far. if there was any argument for extending the league so we don’t watch Kilmarnock 4 times a season this is it.
-
Utterly incredible pricing from a team playing on a terrible plastic park engaging in anti-football. (Not that we are much better) I did think about heading down on Saturday with my kids but looking at it, it’ll cost be £75 before I even take into account the petrol and a few Killie pies at the game. Unless I win the euro millions I’d wager I will not be in attendance at rugby park.

2 sh1t goals to lose probably deserved, we’ve been poor. Really slack in everything we are doing.
-
To be honest, I’d have preferred we didn’t qualify than turn up and embarrass ourselves at tournaments. The way we played in those 2 tournaments was disgraceful and we were a laughing stock. The whole world recognises us as a team who play like Wimbledon in the 1980s.

Clarke will tell the press that there are positives to take from a 3-0 humping at home and they’ll lap it up without a challenge to him. not one of them has the balls to call him out on his diabolical football style and blind loyalty to Arse licking older players. I’d have sacked him after that Germany game…… at half time!!!!

He hadn’t played for Scotland for a few years when he arrived at us, I’m sure.? I think he’d only played a handful of games in his final season at Rangers, all as a sub. Motherwell was as good for him as he was for us, he got an absolute new lease of life playing for us and he was then re-called into the Scotland squad.
-
Russell was a great player, another absolute talent. Wasn’t really that well received by a lot of our support tho as far as I remember? Not because of the rangers thing but because a lot of our fans love a 100% player who would charge about a park flying into everything (oneill / Campbell etc) but Russell was a class act and under appreciated. He elevated our team and then when cooper came that combination worked wonders. Cooper also brought on other players like Kirk, Boyd, arnott to name just a few. It was a great time to watch us play to be honest.
-
I remember when he signed and me thinking we’d bought a guy who was completely done, no pace and a little bit heavy. Also that he’d hardly played any games in about a year and was too much of a blue nose to perform at any other club. i was 100% wrong. By a country mile the finest football player ive ever seen in a motherwell jersey. It was an absolute honour to watch him play week in, week out. Every game there was a guaranteed “how the fk did he do that” moment. An incredible talent, sadly gone far too soon.

I was never a fan of his when he was manager, I liked him as a player but there was always something just a little bit off about him.. he does make some horrible claims there right enough but it’s pretty obvious he’s always been a bit of a conspiracy theorist about himself. There’s been many people associated to him who have said this throughout his career, notable people have said this and not just faceless internet posts. So I do think there’s weight to it. it is a shame he’s out the game but he’s not the only one, the football scrap heap is a big one for managers on the wrong side of 60.

Odonnell is an excellent professional and at no point in the years he’s played with us have I doubted his effort or doubted his willingness to be here. (We’ve had a lot of players who would be happy to be elsewhere and defenders not as good as him, who have been loved by fans). im ok with him signing, i think he is a decent player and worth keeping.

I think you are all forgetting how qualified carver is and his experience gained from a 113 game career with Gateshead Utd. carver as well as Clarke have the same attitude, extremely negative, extremely sour on anyone having any sort of drive about them as a player and really arrogant to their own abilities. Lennon said nothing wrong and what he said should be admired but I’d take a wild guess and say that carver and Clarke did t like the comment and won’t give him a game, or if they do they will give him 1min on the park at the end as a punishment to clip his wings. we need new people in charge at Scotland.

Me as well. Terrible game, total lack of football. Robinsons teams are a horrible watch.

8 weeks for a wrist break is mental. Let’s be honest we’ve forked out a reputed £250k plus decent wages on this fella and it’s been a disaster. We can’t really afford to write off a big buy for the season but I just hope he is fit by the summer and gets a full pre season and contributes next year. I think he did show in flashes that he has something…. It’s not as if he’s a John Henry or anything. But AP has caused us more frustration than anything else this year.
-
He’s just been called up to the Scotland squad. For an 18yr old to be picked by Steve Clarke for the national squad, that is incredible. well deserved and I hope he gets to show people what he can do at that level.

It does look like quite a bit of noise over Lyon and an £8m bid for Lennon? that would be an incredible bit of business and a potentially brilliant move for the boy to a league where he will develop further. if we could get a decent sell on clause, even better.
