  1. I actually thought that Stama did well when he came on at the weekend and looked sharper and quicker than he has done? Maybe his injury that he’s been having bother with has cleared up or he’s been at a sprint coach or something but I’d play him from the start. I still think he’s a better and cleverer player than Hendry. i was glad also that he took the penalty away from Maswanhise. Showed confidence and belief that’s he’s the striker, he’s the penalty taker.
  2. I have a feeling this will be a really good game. I’ll be going along to this looking for a win and I’d love to beat Hearts on Saturday as well seeing as their wheels are now coming off the bogey as expected. They were rank rotten today against Aberdeen and they played like a traditional McInnes side.
  3. Just listened to King Billy Dodds giving his review of the game and it has no resemblance to anything I’ve just watched. Killie were outstanding in the 2nd half??? Apparently Maswanhise’s goal was a toe poke and goalie error, second goal “came from a corner” and a VAR penalty got us back in the game and saved us when Killie were the better side. thanks Billy….. now fk off back to new Cumnock
  4. Great win at a horrible place. Take that every day of the week.
  5. He also said that driving at 5mph in an area filled with prostitution was him just being a careful driver
  6. Really solid first half again but I have a wee bit of Falkirk vibes. Be Good to see if we’ve learned our lesson from that game. as long as we start the 2nd half with the same intensity as the 1st half then I’d hope we will be ok. and to play football the way we have on that surface is phenomenal tbh. Fair play.
  7. I know the reasons and completely get it but i do find it a tad infuriating to see just on the bench today. Clearly he’s knackered but he’s very good on these plastic park monstrosities. Hopefully he’ll get on in the 2nd half and link up well with slattery again.
  8. I think there’s maybe an issue with him settling by the sounds of it. Although it does surprise me a bit as I watched Slanes you tube thing and Lennon had said all communication is in English between the players and management so you’d think it’d be much easier for him. I have watched Udinese a few times and they are a good side and they are a massive team, all units who are all mobile and good on the ball. Lennon still just looks (and is) a young boy. But I do agree a move back to Scotland would be backwards step. It’s a difficult one for him.
  9. He’s as well coming back to us on loan. We play better football than either rangers or celtic and their fans have always said he’s not good enough to play there. They’ll give him stick from day one. id be disappointed to see him leave Udinese but the lad does have to play. Like someone mentioned above, farm him out to another Italian side rather than a backward step to Rangers/Celtic.
  10. 3 wins - 3 draws and 1 defeat i still see us in the top 6 come new year
  11. Welsh pips it for me but Slattery I thought did very well.
  12. I think I’m going against the grain here but I really enjoyed that game today, I thought at periods during that game we were exceptional. The way we shifted the ball about is better than anyone else in the league. What we do miss though is that striker who we’d be confident of converting any half chance also a solid reliable goalie. Hope we can use some cash quickly to get a couple of players in rather than having money in the bank and paying a chunk of it to the taxman
  13. I’d suggest that should have been the team that started last week. no Halliday on the bench either? Mmmm wonder if the jumping around a couch supporting Rangers on Sunday didn’t go down so well. Or maybe the little bit of criticism about our performance/ set up v st Mirren did it.
  14. I still think a draw would be a good result tomorrow. Aberdeen are looking much better just now but I’m hopeful the exertions of their midweek game has taken it out them. We need something from the game as I know I’m still deflated after Saturday, so the players will be worse. It’s going to be ups and downs but I just don’t see a Kettlewell style free fall?
  15. The standard of refereeing has never been good but I really feel since the introduction of VAR it’s got 100 times worse. We have some appalling referees in this country
  16. I always thought Imrie would have done well with us, he was an annoying wee git as a player but I always thought there were a lot of comparisons to Dougie Arnott, just a total nuisance who opposing players hated playing against. im glad him and his family got support from the fans message, its nice to hear.
  17. They’ve only been given 2 sections of the main stand and 2 behind the goals and 9500. They say it may be increased but I don’t see how as Celtic will snap all them up. Anyway not our problem as we shat the bed on Saturday but as a sign of things to come, families are being totally shafted and priced out the game.
  18. I don’t want to discuss St Midden any longer or any more than I have to but did you see the prices for the final? £46 for an adult!! £28 for a concession!! Fk me….. get it right up them!!! joking aside….. that is utterly scandalous
  19. Does anyone know if Motherwell TV is showing this on Sunday? It says international only? im not sure if Red Tv is showing it either but I don’t really want to give them the money.
  20. I think it’s obvious Welsh took a knock against Dundee Utd and wasn’t 100% for Saturday. JBA I think rates him highly and he’d have started if he was fully fit. The Slattery one completely confused me though on Saturday, he needs to play as he brings the best out in Just, Watt and Fadinger. To play him for 90mins against Utd and drop him to the bench was utter madness. I really hope we have a proper reaction in this game following the disaster on Saturday. Surely our players must be fuming at themselves. Get out there and prove they are a good side.
  21. I do get what you mean, and as much as I dislike the old firm I am not a shout at the clouds type of guy when I watch him do this or not celebrate against Rangers last season. It is what it is and we know he’s a blue nose. Having just spent a fortune though on Saturday getting to the match and having sat through a horrendous game and what should have been a winnable semi final to then see one of our better paid players jumping up and down celebrating a rangers penalty on the other semi final was a bit of a hard one to take…. Not that I watched it all I have to say so his behaviour may have got better or worse? as I say, it probably annoyed me more than it should have as I’m sure he’s on his way out the door anyway.
  22. After seeing highlights of Halliday sitting on a couch with Paul slane commentating and celebrating all things Rangers, I now realise why he’s not had many minutes this season. I get the Rangers fan stuff etc but he’s still our player and we’ve just had a horrific result yesterday….. read the room man!!!
  23. I’ll be happy with a draw. I can’t see us beating Aberdeen three games in a row over a period of a month. itd be nice to see a reaction from them all after that yesterday.
  24. He made a few quips at us but one was “football with a purpose…. Total domination” talking about st mirrens style. whether you view he has a point or not he was our captain and was well liked at Fir Park, try and be a little respectful rather than mocking the style of football we play. i look forward to him inevitably failing as a manager.
  25. Watching StMirren is like watching a really well organised, extremely fit and half decent junior team from the 1980s We were awful yesterday to a man and it was just a terrible day at the office and it did just feel St Mirren wanted it more and I did mention before we were maybe believing our own press a bit. gutting to go out to that side and it’s gutting listening to some comments flying about on social media from their fans and ex players…. Disappointingly one from our old captain Peter Hartley making smart ar5e comments about style of play. in saying that and as much as I dislike him, I thought Gogic was the real difference yesterday, he was the driving force behind their win…. I’ll clear the vomit from my throat now
