I think that’s a fair question. He is used to how we play and the system but he’d be out for our cup games and 2 games (one hopefully in the top 6) against Celtic. As much as I like Welsh and rate him I think I’d much prefer bringing in another centre half if that’s possible

To be fair they’ve did really well but I see a Derek McIness team playing in the same way he had his Aberdeen and Kilmarnock sides playing albeit with some better players. He’s not a dinosaur either, he has his team of average players playing quite exciting attacking football. I’ve been really impressed with them this year.

Surely 99% of the support aren’t going to get on his back. He’s not done anything wrong, he puts a shift in and has a decent goals to games ratio. In my view he’s still our best striker, a much better player than Hendry.

Loads of legit people talking about Barry Bannan? I do know a few mates who support teams in the championship and they have said he’s still one of the best players in that league but it’d surprise me with his age etc that we’d spunk a lot if wages on him unless it’s just short term.

I saw his name pop up on social media earlier and I thought “how do I know that name” I’d forgotten all about this guy. im sure this was a spell we seemed to bring in so many loan players and then they just drifted away. I worry that as I don’t remember him well enough that he wasn’t that great.

Nancy didn’t want him as he wanted some guy who played as a centre back with his MLS team. As far as what I heard Welsh was told 2 days before he was recalled back that he was allowed to stay at Motherwell for the rest of the season. Motherwell were told this and then told he was getting recalled. I think it’s more of doing the dirty on the player rather than us. Just a poor way to treat someone who ultimately isn’t wanted by their parent club. but as mentioned above, I’d much prefer a permanent CB to be signed and is OUR player rather than loan deals.
