I’m pretty convinced the add on would be Groningen getting promotion in their first season. We’d maybe get another £100k or so. as much as KVV has talked well about motherwell etc etc I have no doubt he’ll want one last big pay packet and I can’t blame the guy. He’s been a lower league player all his days (apart from us I suppose if we look at the spl being a big league) and he’s had a proper incredible season. The likelihood of this happening again is slim even tho he is a great big player. We need to take the money and let him go as imagine the huff he’ll be in all year if he stays and we knock back his chance of the discussed £10k pw? He’s a huffy big sod at the best of times so we may end up with a year of Sligo esq performances from him.

Yeah you’re probably right, I think it was when I saw him in the championship he looked decent.

He’s been panned by the Utd fans I know, inconsistent and hung up his shirt about a year ago. To be fair tho I did think he looked good a couple of seasons ago. He might just need a change of club like Mark Ohara did.

I struggle to watch slattery, I find him unbelievably infuriating. The misplaced passes, stupid decisions and the falling on his arse continually looking for fouls. I know there’s a player in there somewhere but I doubt we’ll ever see it.

Either that or a 3 year contract extension

I’m on the other side of this, I get your view but I think Mugabi is a sellable asset. He’s the type of player English teams always want to pick up. Hands up the last handful of games he played he was hopeless but prior to that and under a spell during Robinson and Alexander’s reign he showed enough for me to think he definitely had the abilities to be an excellent centre half, he’s hard, quick for a big guy and great in the air. I think him and Casey with butcher just in front of them would be a nightmare for forwards to play against. I also think Casey and butcher would keep on top of him constantly. Big lamie seems too quiet to be a centre half for me. anyway, just my opinion, I think kettlewell could sort him out defensively.

A Dundee Utd defeat tonight is required for a good all round weekend. Another couple of week’s training under the new manager and new assistant and we’ll be ready to take on the mole faced geezers team.
