Well it wasn’t great was it but it was a damn side better than I thought it would be. at least we put up a fight without really laying a glove on them. positives: Thompson did well, looks like a decent player and I was blown away how hard Armstrong worked all game and he put his only chance away really well. oh well…. I still think we have enough to stay mid table/ish even with the injuries, but I have always thought that.
-
Kaleta at fault for the two goals, had a stinker and I’m glad he’s off. Thomson doing ok, looks decent. and although big Armstrong looks like he should be making gingerbread lattes and preparing Cuban sandwiches in a west end cafe….. he’s a player. Doing really well.
-
That and he’s off to hearts and has lost interest. this will be a long 90mins today. I suppose this is what we’ve dedicated our life too though.
-
These two strikers seem highly rated? As much as that is good, It just seems manic, have they looked at the bloke from Carlisle and thought he’s rotten, we need someone else? like everyone else has mentioned, we badly need a midfielder. We can’t survive with Halliday and Davor every week.
-
He’s had almost a week to say something while the Motherwell support has been chastised by the media. That to me is someone who is enjoying us taking a kicking.
-
I’m not the biggest Tam Cowan fan but he’s said everything correctly here, I agree with him completely. I like SK and supported the guy but he’s went down in my estimations, it seems like he’s went in a big huff and compares working really hard to being an incredible manager. I think he’s left the club in a really disrespectful way. Say what you want about Alexander but he slipped off without chastising our whole support….. when he got 100 times the stick SK ever got.
-
But think of the players he could sign? I’m positive John Spencer is available (as long as we can give him a £100k car)and I believe he has a brother John Davies who could fill in for Lennon miller. yeah…… it’s a hard NO for me bring back that lunatic Davies.
-
Campbell confirmed for Utd. i hope he gets his career back on track as he deserves it, a hard working wee player. I’ve watched him quite a bit after he was binned from Luton [where he did well]and he screams of a player who has totally lost all confidence. Truth be told he was terrible at Millwall and Charlton. He looked like a junior player running about headless. Certainly not the confident Campbell who left us.

I’ve watched Motherwell for 50yrs and I think this will fall on deaf ears. It has been worse a great number of times compared to now as well but obviously it’s been highlighted this week. i just have never got the booing? The proper effort and foamy mouthed lunacy it takes to do it must be exhausting. anyway I’m going along on Sunday and I will not be booing and I very much doubt I’ll be cheering either.
-
Exactly this, over the past 50yrs I can think about a dozen old firm connected managers. The only one I really didn’t like was jock Wallace. His first interview stated “I was born a rangers supporter I’ll die a rangers supporter” ……get yourself TF. Whoever gets it will get our full support I’m sure. Although I’m sure there may be some who don’t think that way for some weird reason..

I’m back to a ….meh!! mood now
-
A humiliation never gets old with the ugly sisters though. I can never get enough of that.
-
I’m always a bit indifferent about Celtic and rangers playing in Europe, if they win or lose it’s always a bit meh…. but I do enjoy a pants down baws out humiliation and it’s looking that way so far for them tonight. Not sure it’ll make much difference to our game as wee maeda will be back, he makes the difference for them.
-
Only potential problem is he’d sign Jason cummings
-
I bet he does, these guys are football anoraks when it comes to UK football and he’d have taken a keen interest when postecoglu was at Celtic. a guy like this will have contacts all over the world and I’d guarantee he’d be knowledgeable about places like the Japanese league as well as the other Asian leagues as he’d need to play these countries in that Oceania groups. id love to see this appointment if he was at all interested.
-
Healy would be a good shout, good young manager by all accounts and likes attacking sides. The other guy over there in the south Stephen Bradley at shamrock rovers is viewed highly as well. i would like to see Graham Arnold but im not sure that’d happen? as for names like Billy Davies and big dunc, dear god no!!!
-
There’s no such thing as football journalism now, they scour the fans forums / social media and get names from here and then pass it off as their own work “from a source”
-
That’d be an interesting one. I’d like this 100% more than the other names mentioned. an experienced manager with contacts (not lenses) would be beneficial for us as a club.
-
This was my issue if we did sack Kettlewell, who would we get that was better? I know I mentioned Lennon who I think would do ok but I don’t know if I necessarily want him? every name mentioned I don’t fancy Mcglynn McCabe Brown…… no thanks. Someone even mentioned imrie lol….. he fkn hates Motherwell lol then we have the usual van der gaag stuff…. Christ knows what’s for the best, I don’t envy the person or group choosing him as I have a feeling they’ll be slaughtered by a number of us.
-
The rumour I heard was Casey has signed a pre contract with Hearts? Not sure if this is old news or not? SK has gone now though and unfortunately the support have been painted in a bad light even though 80% of us were supportive of him. I’d have expected him to stay until summer like a few posters have mentioned. Anyway, we move on quickly and god knows who we’ll get and I’m sure there will be some stinking names flung about.
-
As he’s got older it’s gone a bit amber
-
Yep, the pleasures of living in the west coast of Scotland.
-
He did well at Hibs and the fans liked him. i know a Bolton fan who liked him as well but was part of a shit show there. he didn’t succeed in Romania as his mother died and they didn’t allow him time off. So he walked. i think he’d do well for us. Each to their own tho.
-
Lennon I think could be a decent enough fit for a club like ours. I think he’s a decent manager as well but I have no doubt there will be a % of our fans who will hate him for a couple of reasons.
-
I’ve nothing but best wishes for SK, I hope he gets another club soon. I think he’s did extremely well and did save us from relegation when he took over from Hammell. I’ve always liked him but felt he’s sort of lost the plot over the past couple of months and having a go at fans never ends well. i have no idea who we will get but whoever gets it some of us won’t be happy. It’s just life as a Motherwell fan. I just hope the players are satisfied as ultimately it’s them who have got him the sack. Maybe the new manager won’t make it a jolly for them coming in to training each day.
