We were playing really well until we scored and we’ve sat back a bit. Kilmarnock look rotten but we are so capable of losing a daft goal that we need another. hopefully get back playing second half. im always hyper critical of our defence but they are getting in the way and blocking everything today.

I think Morris might actually come good, I thought he was the only player we had in that first Sligo game (doesn’t say too much tho) and showed enough for me to be hopeful. joining a new club, new league, new country. Call me the voice of reason if I state I think he needs more than 3 games to make an impact lol as for Efford, the big fella can go anytime and as much as I like the effort shields puts in, he’ll always be a championship player. Maguire won’t go as Hammell knows him and whatever the fans say the coaches all see a player there and I think there is but the lad lacks confidence and belief in himself. That’s not an easy thing to fix, you’re either full of belief or your not. You could have the ability of messi but if you don’t believe it you’ll not make it.

Snodgrass would be a great signing. Think he’s the type of vocal guy we need in the team and he’d bring some players on. I thought he looked good at Luton last year. If he came to us it’d not be for money as we couldn’t get near what he’s earning down south, he must be looking for a link into more media work which I have no doubt he’d be very good at. certainly better than the stevie thompson, Richard foster brigade we currently have to endure

There’s a few videos on you tube of him playing in their U23s and he’s played in either wide left or wide right so a really good option. Just really pleased to see the lad play for us as I always feel a bit cheated when our kids come all the way through the ranks and then sign for another team prior to playing in our first team.

Absolutely brilliant. He was one of these youngsters I’d have loved to see play in our first team but Leeds plucked him out before that could happen. Leeds fans were full of praise for his performances last year but just needs more games. Another lad who’s a Motherwell fan and family are all supporters. Really looking forward to see him play.

A really entertaining game with some good football played. Absolutely night and day to the guff I’ve watched for 18 months really pleased for hammy and the players who looked so much more confident and relaxed on that park. Brilliant

The appointment probably makes a lot of sense, financially too. He’s a Club legend, loves the club, knows it inside out and knows what the fans are like. i think everyone will be rooting for him so let’s see how he does. he also must know what a good winger requires after coming up against so many, so hopefully he’ll source a good one…. I think he’s got a point. I thought the atmosphere at fir park lat week was brilliant until about 20mins in and then it was horrible, really unpleasant and at the end it was toxic….. and that was the main stand…. Folk hanging over the stand screaming and booing at players/managers/subs….. booing annoys the fk out me? I don’t understand it and it’s cringy seeing adults do it, unacceptable for a kid to boo never mind an adult. i think Kelly did point out it’s up to players tho to make the fans get behind them and they haven’t done that. I think he sort of said that? i don’t think Kelly said anything wrong and he’s 100% entitled to his opinion. I think some people are a bit sensitive. Players and fans just need to move on and hope our new manager gets something out these players.

As much as I’d love the hype of Big Dunc getting the job I just don’t see that happening. i think Kevin thomson is a potentially good young manager but I think he’s too young to get anything out that group of players/charlatans we’ve gathered. i think we need a guy to bring some enthusiasm and belief to that group and get the best out of them as we’ll not be buying any other players in the short term. Hughes does get the best out of players, players run through walls for him and he’s always been overly complimentary towards motherwell which makes me really like the guy and He’s been at dying clubs recently so I don’t think he can be judged on those. But he still gives me a massive fear. Big Mixu has spoken about managing in Scotland again and I think the board would be interested in him but I don’t know if that’s a good appointment . tam Cowan suggested Ian maccall which would mean my season ticket would remain in my drawer locked for the rest of the season so that’s a no from me. id take Malky McKay but I don’t know if we could afford the compensation and it may have an impact on our Chinese/Jewish fan base lol the board have a tough job.

I would as well, he’s a natural finisher and I don’t think he’s as bad a character as people make out. I think he’s just an idiot. if he’s fit, which apparently he is and is physically fitter than he’s been in a couple of years, I’d get him on a park to get match fit. Shields just is not going to do in my view. Give him a 3 month deal and see what he does. again, I’m probably in the minority too

it’s a disgrace Sligo fans felt like that, they seemed a decent bunch there to enjoy their side in Europe like most of our fans do. This type of stuff though will just have a knock on effect when our fans go over to Sligo. I’ve no doubt there will be issues due to the antagonising and the “hNs without bus fare songs/chants” during the game. i do like some of the atmosphere the bois bring but at time they are immature pains in the ar5es. Oh to be young again

Absolutely appalling game. For us to play effectively a couple of bounce games only before that tie showed a total lack of professionalism and a lack of respect to Sligo and we got what we deserved. It could have been worse. really great atmosphere at the start and it turned really sour at the end. (And the least said about singing in the chapel chant the better…. Utter disgrace, get a grip guys FFS, thought that was left behind in the 80s) For me we showed nothing as a team, keeping possession in our own half and passing the ball about might make good reading on a stats table but means sod all when we show know ideas or drive to win a game of football. I still think we might get through next week but there was real damage last night and GA and his after match interviews are an absolute disgrace, the guy is lost in himself. trying to put a minor positive spin on things, I thought Morris looks decent and mcginn looks capable. Really disappointed in spittal who looked done after 10mins and slowed everything down when he got on the ball, I hope he improves quickly. And a striker is 100% essential as there’s nothing up there when van veen isn’t fit.
