I realise the park is appalling and we are playing a big bullying and breenging team but we are extremely poor today. It might be a reality check for some that we are a poor team and deserve to be where we are and kettlewell isn’t some type of inspirational messiah

The park is appalling, it just shouldn’t be allowed in the SPL, it’s an embarrassment. I honestly think the players would be better off wearing a pair of gazelles or sambas on that park.

How can we go to zero effort and no pass marks a week ago to zero failures today. Outstanding!! Hard to pick our best player? Thought butcher and obika were immense but about 5 others were up there.

I was in a meeting with my colleagues down south today and one supports Peterborough. He didn’t rate McCann as a manager and said their fans slaughtered him every week. So I’m not sure why so many here have a high opinion of him? I’d never heard of the guy. let’s face it, it’s absolute pot luck in our position when appointing a manager? We might get lucky and get a manager that just fits the club and he gets a bit of success. McCall fitted for a while and he had been a resounding failure elsewhere, similar to Robinson for a period. I can’t really ever remembering a manager that fitted straight away and was loved apart from Davie Hay. We have rose tinted specs for wee Tommy as well. His still of football would make your eyes bleed. Duff signings every year, palmed off cast offs from his brother. His success really came from a bit of luck getting cooper who changed everything for me about the way we played, Bobby russell to an extent too. Whoever gets it, kettlewell, McCann, hughes….. whoever…. It’s a lot to do with luck if they are a success or not. We can’t really judge who will be good or sh1t…

Johnstone is a great wee player, definitely cemented himself in that right back position for me. Centre of defence and left back still give me fear but they might improve with more games. van veen was excellent, and incredibly so was spittal. Liked the look of aitchison when he came on and Cornelius put in a good shift. if they all put in that level of effort for the remaining games we’ll pick up points.

At last a wee bit of dig. Stressful to watch but a brilliant 3 points. Thank fk for that.

Just saw that Billy Thompson died today, always seemed like a great guy and always did well for us when he played. Absolute shame.

Absolute tombola football, it’s like under 10 league, give everyone game time, fire in 4 subs at the same time, give them 30mins and their parents won’t complain. Utter shambles, Michael Stewart made the point the other night (I don’t often agree with him) that we have no identity. In my 50yrs watching motherwell, this does not look like a motherwell team, in my view he is correct.

We have no leaders and no winners there at all. I think those players are resigned to failure as soon as they step on a park. I just don’t see this changing, even with a new manager. We are in a real mess.

I was all for changing the team but I don’t like dropping our only performing players. I’d even argue that spittal should be in before slattery and goss. It just seems he’s trying to shoehorn players like mcginn into that team on the basis that he thinks he’s a good utility player. I’d argue he’s not that great in any position Anyway it’s an extremely important game tonight, just hope to god we get a win….. a horrible 1-0 would do me now.

As much as it’s great to see the new players I’m pretty disgusted at the dropping of our only two performers lately. Johnson and mckinstry do not deserve getting dropped to the bench.

One thing about Stephen Robinson and his sides, horrible football but grinds out results. i wouldn’t mind a ground out win ….. soon
