I'm sure the Aberdeen Manchester Utd and Scotland legend will be more than happy that you class him in the same league as NLC legend Hollis!!

Lee Hollis??? For services to standing static on a goal line!! He stood static better than any other goalkeeper I can remember. North Lanarkshire legend!!!

Scottish Premiership Motherwell V Celtic Sat 3 Dec 12:15

As much as that felt like a thunder strike to the baws at the end, there were many positives today, Cadden was immense, absolutely humiliated Izigueri.... the lad McLean did well and the other youngster McMillan looked a prospect when he came on. I find it difficult to criticise the likes of Lasley because the effort the guy puts in is incredible, however, his limitations become more apparent week after week. It will need sorted. Horrible seeing that bunch celebrate at the end but at least Mcghee has stirred them up by having a dig at their backroom team.....we can always really on McGhee for a petty underhand snipe after a defeat. on an extremely annoying level, Brown......how many cynical challenges does that guy need to make before he gets booked....shocking -
Scottish Cup - Fourth Round Rangers V Motherwell Sat 21 Jan 12:30

Nothing to be scared of. Every team outwith Celtic are average and could beat each other at any given time so I don't see the panic. Players should treat it as their cup final (as they should any cup game) and get tore into a very mediocre team. Hopefully MCGhee wont go down the route of "treating them with respect" and just deal with them like the dinosaurs they are!! Motherwell victory.....lets hope for a good draw in the next round. over 'n' out!! -

My enduring memory of Imrie was him leaving the Main stand at Fir park with his wee neddy h*n pals from Lanark as Lionel scored the 2nd goal in the play off game. He was trying to disguise himself by wearing a ridiculous oversized beanie hat but he clearly knew a number of us recognised him.we didn't even need to throw a comment in his direction,, our smugness owned him. Lovely memory!! -
Any Motherwell player called up for an U21 or Full International game is a bonus for the club and a confidence booster for the player. Hope he does well, good luck Joe.

Really unsure of what all the fuss is about, we bought a guy last year for a bag of waashers, hoping he was an investment. He proves to be a good player albeit ridiculously inconsistent (for a 25yr old) and we get close to £500k for him plus add ons. He’s also burnt all bridges with us by putting in a transfer request (haven’t heard of that since the 1980s) So really we’ve got shot of a guy who doesn’t want to play for us, for a good wedge….thanks for your occasional good game Marvin, all the best…..lets move on!!

Gary Mckay Steven on a loan deal?? or am I reaching here!!
-
For a player who wants away i'm guessing we'll cash out quick as apose to paying a guy a wage who's hearts not in it!! I may be wrong but we'll wait and see.

Cue the "undisclosed fee" from a League 1 team being accepted. There's no way we'll get any more than £250k now.

Scottish League Cup - First Round Motherwell V Rangers Sat 16 Jul 15:00

Just watched the full game there on BT, i'm also not so sure about the penalty claim against Heneghan, it was deflected up into his body and wasn't intentional IMO. (Samson should've walked, also imo) On a side note why is Chris Sutton on TV? for a guy who's had a career out the game he struggles with the rules. You could see Michael Stewart and Craigan ready to smack him at the end. He was stood there just repeating himself saying "unnatural position" and definite penalty" as if he'd taken some sort of stroke. Absolute Warmer of a guy. -

We should have been out of sight at half time. 6 glorious chances and none taken. 2nd half was a really weak performance, very disappointing. Guys like Ainsworth and Johnson hid and failed to take any responsibility, Chalmers wont do, Hammy is done and sadly I think wee Thomas just flatters to deceive and just isn't strong enough. Plus side on the new guys, I think we have a right back, the boy Tait looks decent, Heneghan looks a bit raw but did ok and McHugh looks ok and will get better. I thought McDonald did well and worked his arse off as did Cadden. We need to get Moult fit otherwise I think we'll struggle for goals, the big 1980s throwback striker we have from Leicester didn't look great but obviously needs time. p1sh poor support, fair play to the fans who made it. -

Sevco's pre season has been like an amateur team. I believe they've only played one game. New players like Barton etc seem to be more keen on taking in the golf rather than doing a pre-season so even though we've been poor in our games I still think we'll beat them and beat them comfortable. I have to be honest tho and consider this to be a pre season game rather than a cup match, I cant see this League cup format working....no one is really that ar5ed this early in the season. -
It's double denim............but I think it works!! Nice Kit

Law is an amateur player promoted to full time due to Stuart McCall being pally with his father. To be fair to the guy tho he does give his all but is simply not good enough. Ripley is a very promising young keeper who needs games to learn and make mistakes. He made quite a few with us last year but i do think he'll end up a very good goalie at a better level than either Motherwell or Oldham. Erwin........just not sure about the boy. At times i thought he looked excellent and other times awful. Another boy who could get better if he screwed the head but unsure if he'll ever do that due to him being connected to a totally unscrupulous agent who'll have his head turning constantly. All the best to Oldham next year, Robinson might do well. Ive spoken to the guy a few times and i find him a really dour Northern Irish guy but he seems to be well rated. Baraclough could be his assistant and i think he'd be a very good assistant as he's not really a manager, too nice a guy.
-
Give them 900 tickets just to annoy them, I'm sure those would sell out!! Get a hold of the flag pole assailant of Lee McCulloch to conduct the half time draw as well just to get it right up them.
-
Bye Ben, enjoy your time at Brighton in the Youth Development squad with the other young Scottish prodigy Jack Harper. Will see you back in Scotland in about 3 years time!!
-
It's annoying to lose good young prospects but i suppose it's a no brainer for him. If he's not getting a sniff of the first team and the youth manager doesnt rate him then moving to a bigger club with better facilities, better players, better opportunity to learn more and the added bonus of being paid the same as one of our higher earners then fair play and good luck to him.
-
I have to agree. If there is a youth player at our club deemed good enough to join a English premier league team on a 3yr deal, I think we need to ask questions as to why he's not been involved around the first team squad and benched in the youth cup final?
-
Really?? The same Robbie Leitch that Craigan says isn't good enough? Makes sense!! Good luck to the lad, annoying to lose them that young tho, hope we get a few bob.
-
Spoke to my mate today who's a Burnley obsessive.....proper obsessive....to the point he takes his family on their annual holiday to Burnley's pre-season tour. Anyway, he's told me they've signed some U21 Scottish Starlet from Motherwell on a 3 yr deal? (I wasn't aware we had one of those?) I thought it must be Hall but there's nothing on the website but he said he's meant to be a midfielder? Cadden???? normally i'd say "aye did they?" but he knows his club inside out!! anyone heard owt?
-
Financially we are nowhere near Hutchison, that will never happen, unfortunately. As for Hall, if he wants to go that's fine, for a young player who has just broken into the first team I would have thought his priority would be to cement his place in the first team for at least a season. For him to be looking for a bigger club / move / money etc at this stage in his career is poor show!! I'd happily get shot. Especially if we get £100k for him. I thought he looked a decent prospect but I thought he looked average in the Youth Final where I would have expected him to be an absolute standout as was Cadden. Big mick / laing / kennedy is fine by me.
-
I obviously know this was downtime, it was purely sarcasm!! As you say the mistake was filming it without showing any of the tougher training in the algarve. I thought the footage from Holland under Baraclough last season was excellent. It showed some of the proper training involved, Power hour / Conditioning etc I found that 100% more interesting than them fann£ing about at footgolf!!
-
I think you underestimate the benefits of a pre-season filled with jogging, trying to hit the bar from corners and footgolf!! Just what you need to get you into shape for a long season!! I’m guessing under McGhee footgolf will be off the itinerary!!

Only 5 weeks summer holidays.............those poor boys!!
