Quite agree and the self belief statement was spot on.....How many times this week have we heard McCall talk about how good Rangers are and they have "class all over the field" and even minutes before kick off he's going on about how we lost 20 odd goals against them last year!! This is hardly a spur on to the players!! That Rangers team, along with Celtic are the poorest old firm teams ive saw in over 30yrs, we should have been going in to that game today giving them no respect and got steamed into them, instead we held off them playing tippy tappy football with no guts or will to win!! At no point did we look like we'd take anything of them today!! Thoroughly disappointed in todays performance!!

Best memory, and i have to say by a mile, was the Dortmund experience (not so much the home game tho) The utterly amazing Westfalen Stadium Full to the rafters and the 1200 Motherwell fans outsinging 55000 Dortmund fans for 90 mins!! We Totally outplayed the future champions of Europe and were so unlucky not to come away from there with a few goal lead!! Definately my Proudest ever Motherwell moment....Tommy Coyne ma lord!!

Smith and Mchugh are young and i hate being harsh on young players but i dont see either of them winning a permanent place in the first team any time soon!! If we lose Murphy we're struggling!! Dont think many of you would agree but i'd be back down to Blackburn in a shot to get Blackman!! He didnt do well at Aberdeen ok, but who has in the past 20yrs? He was outstanding with us and he still has another 2 yr contract left at Blackburn with slim hope of being a first team player!! He'd guarantee 15 goals for us and would be a good foil for the immobile Higdon!! But lets hope Murphy stays for the season as i think him and Law will be great to watch !!

Best Display by Hammell in years, outstanding today!! I dont think its a coincidence that he played well as Law was in front of him, If Law hadnt ran out of steam in the 2nd half i think he'd have got the man of the match from me!! I remember how Tom Boyd got stale at Fir Park and had been torture to watch until Cooper signed then he became an exceptional full back!! I'm not saying Law is a Cooper but he's a clever ball player with great awareness, i think him and Hammel will give teams a nightmare down the left hand side this season!! Wee Murphy deserves a mention again as he's improving with confidence every week, McCall deserves a bit of credit for this as well i think!!

Not a bad game today, Murphy was the bestplayer on the park i felt, a total standout!! Law looks a tidy, decent player maybe a wee bit lightweight but promising!! Young Halsom looked good when he came on as well!! Downside.....Higdon, reminded me of a Fatter Nick Cusack....i never liked Cusack!! Jennings has put on half a stone and defensively we loooked a wee bit suss at times, but hopefully we should be better than most in the SPL this season!! I was fortunate enough not to be on your bus mate and it sounds like one you should maybe avoid in future. I was in the main stand area looking out and listening over the 'well fans who were great, didnt hear any bile getting chanted "from our end" and i thought we were brilliantly behaved. Only saw 1 Union Jck with "war office" written on it which was swiftly removed. All in all great day out apart from performance and result!!

Never been his biggest fan but thought Hateley was excellent today, worked hard and kept posession well, didnt really put a foot wrong. Also Craigan(also not my favourite) and Hutch played well, Jenno good in the 1st half, 2nd half not so good ..he looked fecked!!

Felt sorry for some of our players today, gave their all but quite a few were off the pace....possibly being rested didnt help and i think a few froze a bit, annoying as Celtic were there for the taking as they are not that good!! This ticket fiasco has been a bit of a joke!! Supporters not getting family section tickets, forking out more for theri kids and then more tickets being allocated!!
