  1. Just hope today wasn't a wasted day off for the players, I hope Baraclough has them in for an extra Yoga session, possibly get them in tomorrow for some Football golf!! should sort the men out from the boys!!
  2. Imo Nielsen is our best goalie and was so last year as well, I don't think he's been given a fair crack at it with us. He made a few blunders last year but so do all keepers who are new to a club, if he had a good run of games I think we would have seen a better than average keeper!! Plenty of clubs down south wanted him and Man City wanted to keep him, i'm pretty sure the scouting system and coaches there know more than the people on this forum!!
  3. Cant help but think he's a bit Gannon-esque!! Quite happy with this, the whole place needs a shake up!! Good luck to him.
  4. Would love to see us go for someone like Van De Gaag or Maaskant, the club needs a new direction and the majority of the support desire something a bit different!! I think i'm in the minority of never rating Van Der Gaag as a player, I just remember the club forking out 1/4m on him and every time he played, which wasn't often, he made a howling mistake which cost us the game!! His time at the club was salvaged due to the free kick against Dunfermline that kept us up!! I'd welcome him back as manager tho, hopefully he wont tell us how much he learnt from Mcleish as manager!
  5. This foreign consortium thing is scaring the life out me!! Just keep thinking Airdire / Steve Archibald / Spanish consortium = KNACKERED!!
  6. On the plus side with Adams he'd probably bring his father back as chief scout. We may get some decent young players coming through the ranks again!!
  7. I have it on good authority Davies does not want the job, he will be the next SEVCO manager when the fat sports direct dude takes full control!!
  8. Gary McAllister's name hasn't been mentioned, Good contacts down south, ex 'Well man, experience of managing a club with no money. Knows the game quite well up here due to the BT sports gig!! worth a punt??
  9. Totally agree with this, Managers are a different animal to players (although Davies was apparently a greedy little fecker so he may be ruled out) Coyle's whole career has never been money driven and a club like Motherwell may suit him.
  10. Would struggle to mentally cope with someone like Leitch, Black, Calderwood, Shiels or Craigan in charge!! I fear it would push me over the edge!! would love to see a sober Burley in charge, Owen Coyle would be great but wage could be an issue or I would accept Mcghee back although he is a bit of a sac.
  11. Nice statement from McCall, was never a huge fan, probably due to my dislike of all things Rangers but he's done an undoubted good job with us. It is a shame it went a bit baws up this season but it was always going to happen regardless of what manager was in charge!! The very best of luck to him and I wish him all the best at Palace (as i'd imagine its lined up). Possibly get a few Crystal Palace reserve players up to gain match experience!!
  12. Famous last words but much happier with the look of the team tonight, Reid and Law not in the starting line up and we look quite attacking!! if we cant get a win tonight against a depleted St Johnstone, then we are well and truly F**D

I have no doubt Josh Law is a nice guy and a hard trainer however I find it embarrassing that an average conference footballer who played with a below average conference team, in the depths of Derbyshire should be anywhere near playing regularly in the Scottish top flight!! I recognise the Scottish top flight is not the best but I can only see this as Mcall doing a favour for Laws father, reeks a bit of Billy Davies bringing in his brother John......who was equally as pish!!
  14. To be fair to Sutton, we could replace him with Drogba just now and he'd equally ineffective!! Sutton is not the type of player to create chances, he never has been, he needs service and when that happens he becomes effective!! unfortunately we have no creative players in the midfield. Lasley and Carswell aren't those types of players and Josh Law is what he is, a Conference player. Ainsworth could create but he doesn't look arsed and Vigurs, even when fit, fannies about too much, although I do appreciate he's talented. I have a horrible feeling things will get worse before they get better, another few weeks of pish ahead until the sick notes get back.
  15. I would normally make the trip down to Kilmarnock but decided against it during the week, way too much negativity from McCall re: astro pitch, always feeds its way down to the players producing a "Can't do" attitude!! I realise we have another 45 mins to play but I cant see it happening, damage has been done days ago!!

    Lee Hollis

Hearts are not blessed with many "happy clapper" supporters on that site!! Hollis is taking a pounding!! ha Cant argue with many of their posts though, he is, and always has been a Howlin keeper!!

    Lee Hollis

Good luck to him at Hearts, but i'm glad to see the back of him!! still baffled as to why McCall played him at the tail end of last season when Neilsen was starting to look quite good!! I think we now have two decent goalies but I still think Neilsen has potential to be excellent, if he gets a run of games.....doubt that'll ever happen now tho!!
  18. it was certainly up there with the Malpas era today but i'm hoping it'll be a one off, McCall is a far better manager than Malpas could ever be so i'll we'll be looking to see an improvement next week, which i'm sure there will be. Ive been to all the games so far this season and it concerns me of the real lack of ideas, we definitely miss a player like McFadden who was always capable of changing games. Even looking at set pieces its a total free for all, we had 2 good free kick opportunities in the 2nd half and twice we seen Sutton and then Lasley just balloon the ball against the wall, it just looked very amateur. In fairness to ICT, they are not a bad team, big strong and organised and decent on the ball, they were streets ahead of us today!!
  19. Worst performance I've seen at Fir Park for a good 10 years!! Utterly Rotten!! Could only really give pass marks to McManus and I thought Erwin did well considering McCall had him playing in 3 different positions in the duration of the match!! I anticipate a very long and frustrating season!!
  20. The only player I've ever seen trying to "run off" a broken leg!! lasted 5 minutes before realising it wasn't going to heal itself!! ha I think that was against Hibs, so you were probably right that it would have been that wee animal Miller that did him!!

    St Mirren

Erwin by a country mile!! wasn't too sure about the big fella when I first saw him, but he worked his arse off today, lead the line very well and took his goal well. Not greatly convinced by anyone else other than a decent performance by the keeper, although I still think he's too wee for a goalie!! Excellent 3 points!!
  22. I think we gained quite a bit in Portugal, if you seen some of the You Tube footage you'd have seen some of the players brushing up their football Golf game!! Being able to pass a ball into a 6ft wide hole will stand us in great stead for the rest of the season!! I just hope that Davie Clarkson re-imbursed the club for his plane fare/bed and board!!
  23. Glad the boys got an extra 2 weeks off now during the summer!! We're clearly reaping the rewards of them having an extra couple of weeks on a beach eating and guzzling shite. Completely ill prepared, unfit, unprofessional and an utter embarrassment!!
  24. Pathetic....utterly pathetic!!
