I think it is only right that all shops in the "Motherwell" community should be showing the local spirit and dressing up some of their window display in Claret & Amber. It does not happen often and we should celebrate and show our community spirit when it does.

Just pushing the post up a bit so it doesn't get forgotten about.

I will be dressing up one of the windows in Claret and Amber at Wilkinson in the precinct. The mother in law is knitting some mini scarves. Should be starting this in the next week or two. We are also going to do a Scottish Cup treasure hunt in the store for the kids. Also we will be raffling a MFC football signed by some of the cup final squad this Saturday with all proceeds going to MacMillan Cancer Care. Tickets cost £1, so pop in before or after the Rangers game. Steelmen Rule.

Hi guys / gals, Just to let you know there is a raffle for a signed Motherwell FC football in Wilkinson in Brandon Parade this Saturday. We had a colleague from the Livingston store who was diagnosed with cancer and in around 40 days he passed away. All the Scottish Wilkinson stores are collecting money this weekend for MacMillan Cancer Support in his memory. I took out my collection of newspaper cutting this morning to show my 9 year old son. £7 for a ticket to get into Hampden and programme was £2.

Ye cannae beat seeing the claret and amber coming out the tunnel at Hampden. It does not happen often. Let's get behind the Dosser's and hope it is a victorious day. Steelmen rule.

I cannot believe what I am reading here. We are Motherwell Football Club, not Real Madrid or Barcelona. I have followed MFC all my life and I have seen them play at Cowdenbeath and the black ash terracing of Hampden Park on wet cold Tuesday Nights in the 1st division. I think finishing 7th in the SPL is ok for us considering where we were 6 years ago. We are not in any debt. I know the entertainment factor is low but nobody in the SPL has been worth the money to go and see IMHO. The rollercoaster ride is great and it will continue to be so come on guys, lets get on with it and give them our backing at every game we go to. There will be more lows than highs but when the highs come again they will be brilliant and we will appreciate them more.
