milo
I'm puzzled at the negative comments regarding Jim O'Brien.
fergie-mfc
sometimes he was our most dangerous player. granted, at other times he was crap but he would walk into our team now. same with clarkson and reynolds.
Dazzer
Not sure Reynolds would walk straight into our team to be fare, the longer he stayed here last season the worse he got.
Welldaft Mk1
I have very rarely known a player to divide opinion amongst Well fans to such an extent. 50% genuinely believe he was rubbish and 50% believe he was a talented if mercurial player. IMHO I fell into the latter camp and would like to see him back here on loan. He did have off days, but reading some posts on here Aguero and Messi would come in for stick. For me he was creative and unlocked a lot of defences resulting in assists or penalties. McCall says he is looking for a wide player and he would fit the bill. Unlikely to happen but you never know. What we do need is 2-3 extra faces and I would like to see a goal poacher that could play up front with Higdon as otherwise he will have little or no support as showed, albeit against a decent Rangers team. Bearing in mind Craigan is still at the heart of our defence I think most centre halfs would walk into the team... just my opinion right enough. Watched that legends game the other week and thought Dion Dublin would even be an improvement in there. (Maybe I'm taking that a wee bit too far)
Al B
I think for the pressure O'Brien would take off Jamie Murphy to be the creator, he'd be worth it. Regardless of what anyone else thought of him, he always seemed to worry defenders...so that's good enough for me really.
gav212
Iv seen all our games this season minus the game on Sunday and Craigan has been solid, he does a lot more than people give him credit for.
Ya Bezzer!
Iv seen all our games this season minus the game on Sunday and Craigan has been solid, he does a lot more than people give him credit for. Our most successful prolonged spell and clean sheet records have coincided with Craigan being at the club. Coincidence? He's also the most capped player in the clubs history. He's not the best centre half we've ever had but he's closer to the top than the bottom on the list. And take a look around would you replace Craigan with Andrew Considine? Fraser Wright? Ross Tokely? Maybe Paul O'Hanlon? Or John Potter? Or Lee Mair? Facts are Craigan is an automatic choice for one of the top sides in this league because he's still one of the best defenders in the league. tottenmfc
Our most successful prolonged spell and clean sheet records have coincided with Craigan being at the club. Coincidence? I would say yes... Craigan has been here since 2003 and we've had plenty seasons in there when it's not been so successful (that's forgetting his first stint at the club). We've had John Ruddy and Darren Raldolph recently, I'd say that's got more to do with the clean sheet statistics.
Kris*Kaizer 2*Nunn
Omar Daley joins Motherwell on trial Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has taken former Bradford winger Omar Daley on trial. The 30-year-old Jamaica international is known to McCall from his time charge at Valley Parade. Daley was previously on loan at Rotherham but after being recalled he was released by Bradford boss Peter Jackson at the end of last season. McCall is also keen to fill the gap left by defender Steven Saunders who was injured playing for Scotland U21s. From the BBC Website

From the BBC Website Would deffo take a chance on this lad, he is lightening quick and can play on either side, great option to have in the squad, and has the ability to score goals, take a chance Stuart and get him in. Based on Murphy leaving only. Jennings Lasley Law Humphrey Daley Higdon That would be gleaming... Or if Murphy stays alterante between all 7 of them. 'Wellfan 2k7
What makes you think that its based on Murphy leaving????? If anything, getting him in when Murphy leaves would be a sh*t step in the wrong direction....not having a go or anything but A straight swap from a 21 year old, versatile attacker who is proven at this level/in this league to a 30 year old versatile striker whose videos have proven that he was good when those vids were taken.. Have 'em both is what I say. The more options we have, the better we are. As far as I can see, Obrien is not coming, Reynoulds and clarky are not coming but this guy might be signing in the next week or so depending on how he does on the trial. !/4 isn't bad considering we only went for 1 of them.. Andy_P
Dazzer I actually think you are doing the guy more harm than good on here. Rather than turning people around to sharing your opinion of Humphrey you are just turning people off him. If the guy is going to win people over its going to be through what he does on the park, not by you leaping to his defence any time someone fails to show the same unstinting belief you have in him.

LadywellToi
Dibble you have to watch, you are to all things Humphrey on here to what 'Celtic Research' is to finding any dissenting voices/conspiracies on Twitter. Look ..... you like the guy, that's obvious. You may even be related or consider him an acquaintance (you've never shared your relationship on here but I guess its more than admiring from distance). But continually leaping to his defence when on a number of occasions he's guilty as charged means a number of people are turning to what Andy summarised. I'd guess around 90% of your posts appear to feature him, where as almost everyone else spreads their time on here discussing all sorts of MFC issues and players. There is more to this club than one player who has 18 months left (for now) in C&A. Back onto the topic, Omar, sounds like a porn star, if he's cheap and offers competition then all good. Well 4 Europe
To be honest not trying to defend Dazzer who can be annoying in his constant praise for Humphrey but some of the stick he gets on here is very harsh and unwarranted if you ask me(the Humph not Dazzer). I suppose cause Fitzpatrick's left and Forbes ain't playing somebody has to get the brunt of the abuse from certain sections of our fans. Just look at Sunday, by no means the worst performer yet along with Higdon he was the one getting it in the neck. However Humphrey was in good form towards the end of last season, funnily enough after McCall dropped him for a few games. He's fast, good work rate, CAN beat a man and CAN put some good crosses in. Yes he's also capable of comical moments of tripping over the ball and firing crosses into the stand but if every one of his final crosses were a peach he wouldn't fucking be playing for us. Right now he's clearly lacking a bit in confidence and looks to be struggling but this whole Humphrey is useless witchunt that's going on is ridiculous. Every non OF team in the SPL would like to have Humphrey as an option yet according to some on here we should just get rid off him cause he's pure useless. Ridiculous. Anyway Daley, to me looks worth a punt. Could be someone to add something different.
