Neil
Now that the pitch has actively cost us a goal and perhaps a match, will those in charge of our pitch be held responsible?
Orinoco
Athough thats the first dodgy goal, that pitch has been costing us points for seasons now. Given the amount of money that's been spent, i think it's time the groundstaff were held accountable.
Welldaft Mk1
I don't disagree. It seems to get no better regardless how much money is spent. Â Sure the weather has been crap but same old same old....
Orinoco
they cant keep hiding behind the bad weather. The pitch was in great condition, then all of a sudden it's a beach. Something went wrong, and needs investigating. Also this sanding of the pitch, why do we need it if our drainage is so good? Cant believe the experts advised to sand the pitch to the extent that its a beach. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
gilmour
We were pish and didnt deserve to win. Both teams played on same pitch so it really is no exscuse.

And here was me thinking poor defending lack of effort and being generally pish cost us a goal and the match, thank fuck we can blame the pitch which was fine when we were passing it about the midfield back to defence and back to the 'Keeper all night. I agree with your point about the shite defending and the pish part but the pitch did play its part in the goal. Quite clearly hit a divot before going in, Randys got it before the ball strikes the ground.  Plus the groundstaff should be held accountable. numpty
We've scored a few goals over the past couple of seasons that look like they've taken dodgy bounces too, so can't really complain when one goes against us.
Orinoco
Why should the groundstaff be excluded from criticism? Mistakes are continually being made.
Yabba's Turd
I don't disagree. So you agree  So if it bounces the other way and goes behind? We lost because we didn't/couldn't score.
roly
The pitch is an improvement on last year... Unlike the players on it. We should be more concerned by that.
that hat
Seems like lower league grounds (whether junior or senior) with no undersoil heating have pitches with grass still growing om them. Nature seems to suggest that cooked grass doesn't grow, when will that penny drop?

john_M_F_C
None of those grounds are blocked from the sun by the South stand though are they? Â The South Stand's been there alot longer than the undersoil heating, it's only been in recent seasons when they've ripped the arse out it that we've had real bother. I would say that's utter bollocks, the pitch has been shite since the South stand was built, having tried to play on it at the end of 4 differents seasons and on each occasion it being 80% sand. The pitch right now is terrible, but it's been shite since we built the South

SuperSteelman
There is no valid reason that we should have the worst pitch in the SPL again. Tyre tracks all over the place again, it's a fucking disgrace.
