that hat
Despite the Edinburgh grounds being closer and enjoying the view from the away end at Tynecastle it seems right that the game is being played at Hampden. Hope that the clubs and the SFA do all in their power to promote it as a sporting event open to everybody interested in the "national game". Could a section of Hampden be promoted as a neutral's section?
The Skipper
I voted for Hampden. Not out of any nostalgic notions that semi's should be played there. I just hope that the bigger arena will allow us to play good football.
Paisley Steelman
Hampden for me. Yes it's murder to get to and you can't park near the ground BUT a non-old firm team was to get to a final against one of the OF teams, not best preparation having never played at Hampden. Hopefully we are at the 'Rangers' end this time just like '91. 'MON THE 'WELL!!!!!!
brisbaneMFC
I'd prefer bevvying up the Gorgie Road first. Maybe a pint or two in the Diggers.
Martin
Has to be pay at the gate if it's at Hampden, hope everyone aint all spread out too.
Lobey_Dosser
Easter Road would have been dynamite. I adore Hampden but a cracking atmosphere at a tight ground would make for a much better atmosphere.
myteam
the manager & players deserve their day(s) at hampden but i would reckon on a better atmosphere in a smaller stadium as there might be some echoes heard in a half-full stadium. but so glad we are having this discussion
Special aka
Hampden ------- to utilise Humphrey and Murphy in the open spaces
wellfan09
hampden fullstop. its not something that we get to experience often and we would all be kickin ourselves if we were to get beat by st johnstone in edinburgh after giving up the chance to visit the national stadium for the second time this season
Martin
I'd prefer a bouncing tynecastle/easter road to an emptyish Hampden though tbh. If we could even half fill Hampden I'd say go for it, but, as has been said we'll be lucky to have 15000 there. Canny see it bein change anyways though. Steve Diggle
Good interview with Kirkie on Sportsound after the game last night. He was asked the self same question and he said that it had to be Hampden because that's what any set of players would want. If the players that got us there fancy Hampden then that's good enough for me.
stuwell
The thing is we do have the potential to take a good 10 000 or more to the game if we can motivate enough folk to get off their arse's and get behind the team and the town. Its not just up to Motherwell to get folk to go, as fans we must also make sure we badger friends/family into going - this could be our final! The family section is well priced for families to make a day of it so start drumming up support!
