Aaron
We'll be lucky to get any more than 4000 season ticket holders next year imo. Although I hope I'm wrong
Finlay
Didn't notice until I saw the pictures in the paper today that the players had a small Phil O'Donnell motif above the PUMA emblem on their shirts. Nice touch. Wasnse expecting too see big Randy sporting a red number as well. Smart so it wiz.

Martin
Unless weve sold a whole load of new STs pre-final, i cant see people being inspired to come to more games. Last thing i'm thinking about after yesterday is shelling out for a season book. . .Still get one mind.
Super_Well
Unless weve sold a whole load of new STs pre-final, i cant see people being inspired to come to more games. Last thing i'm thinking about after yesterday is shelling out for a season book. . .Still get one mind. I seem to remember hearing that on the first day of ticket sales when it was ST holders and those buying a new ST we sold about 7,500 tickets. So surely that would mean that there were just shy of 2000 people there who either had an ST already (and you would imagine most of them will renew) or were purchasing one for next season (as I did) since each person was to get 4 tickets per ST. That's not a bad start, and considering the season we've had, if the club push season ticket sales and get it moving over the summer we could be doing not bad when the season kicks off! Folkie
This. I was furious when the second went in, but stayed to support my team. Also infuriating; 16,000 'Well fans' at the cup final. Average season ticket sales of what... 3,500, 4000? I work as a musician, so am away a lot of weekends. It's not sensible for me to pay out for a season ticket when I can only catch a few home games every season ... there must be other people in the same boat. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than doing what I do but having my weekends off. I would be the first in line for a season ticket for next season, I feel we're on the edge of something big with McCall as manager.
StipeIsGod
I didn't mean to criticise the ex-pats, and fans who genuinely can't make it week in, week out. It's just that when these things come up, when you see a massive sea of claret and amber, and then go to a home game, and get a quarter of the attendance, it's really quite gutting. maxywell
Think we had about 3400 st holders this season, can't see too many people buying one just for a final ticket but it might have swayed a few undecided so i'd think we'll be on about 3600/3700 next season. Nice touch. Wasnse expecting too see big Randy sporting a red number as well. Smart so it wiz. Noticed phil's name above the puma in the 88th minute of the game, it wasnt exactly obvious was it? Anyway, of course I'm bothered about yesterdays performance, 5 minutes in I could tell we were losing the game. We have to get right at them from the off to beat the old firm and we didn't. Ref was absolutely pish to say the least. Best performances were, and I can only echo other posters, hutch and Hammel. And the fansdisplay, magnificent, well done to all involved, the one bright spot of the day

Rickoza
This shite from the Herald........... Brown produced one of his most effective displays in the Hoops at just the right time as the pre-match favourites eventually overcame their nerves and their opponents, who failed to test Fraser Forster in the Celtic goal. However, it was the underdogs’ aggressive approach which riled the 25 year-old, who singled out Motherwell playmaker Keith Lasley as the main culprit. “I thought Lasley’s tackle on [Glenn] Loovens was disgusting,” he said. “What he did in the first 20 minutes was try and rile us up. “His tackle was straight over the ball and went for Glenn’s knee. The referee said he did not see it. "We will give as good as we get [if tackles are flying in]. If Motherwell want to go above the ball and that is the way their manager wants them to play then so be it. But we came away with victory and that is all that matters.”
gav212
There lies the reason I don't give a fuck about our national team, struggle to support a team of c***s like Brown.
SS1886
Brown should have kept his mouth shut. He did not say much about Mastorovitch's shocker on Sutt's. Still, we failed to turn up when it mattered most. My gripe is the lousy 16,000 tickets for the national final cause when you look at the support their lot got it must have felt intimidating on the pitch. Would have been nice for the Well to walk out to claret and amber right round to halfway rather than just a quarter of the stadium. It smacked of a home game for that lot and the SFA bottled it again. Conspiracy my arse both the old scum get everything going and we get the scraps. As usual. However Well fan till I die and I hope I don't need to wait another 20 years to get to hampden again. But what a season! More ups and downs than a you know what but that is the Well rollercoaster. Personally I wouldn't let someone like Brown deter me from supporting my national side. He's a twat. There have been plenty who played for Scotland before him, and there'll be more after him. Still a club before country kind of guy though

steelboy
scott brown is a bellend who i will never support for any side. we lost it with the team selection. hateley had to be playing midfield. against rangers at hampden he was immense, he's a true specialist for that kind of holding role. surely saunders could have dealt with mulgrew? playing gunning was a disaster. the guy sold 3 goals up at tannadice and 3 against rangers at fir park. he obviously has his qualities as a player but his positioning/concentration lets him down to often. hammell is superb at feeding the ball to murphy and him not being at left back cost us a lot. in 2005 big tel played marshall when he was ill and we lost it before kickoff once again on saturday. gary_411
Hammell played on the left of a midfield four that day. A role which isn't entirely unfamiliar given the attacking nature of which he plays full back, yesterday he was played central midfield, where he has never played for Motherwell. I'm fairly sure murphy played on the left that day too. Either way it didn't work on Saturday so fuck.
