Kylie
I know one guy but he is a jungle. The club used to use what is now Reid Printers in Blantyre when it was called Something Litho but that was way in the past. It was owned by an ex Motherwell player & he done the printing for the Club for Free. Now owned by a Czech company and not doing great, a lot of redundancies lately, so not likely do be doing anybody any favours. Totally different company you are talking about. stuwell
Claret one side, Amber other. A3 card. Roughly how many? You want letters on both sides? Give me an hour or so. Although I like the idea of being able to change the display, I think it might be better to keep things simple. would it not be easier to just have two set of them either claret or amber both sides - it would save some half drunk guys putting them up the wrong way round and taking the shine off the effect? not that I'm saying some folk might be a wee bit tipsy
EightSixteen
Cheers Eight16 and PM sent to Kylie. No bother, here's what I've turned up so far. A mate has pointed me in the direction of an ebayer called "paperrover" that he used in 2005. He said that at the time this was the cheapest card Joe Public could buy. He found them through ebay & traced them to a store in the midlands. He haggled over the phone and his "telephone based" deal came significantly cheaper than the ebay items. I've found the ebay shop but can't locate a store as of yet. I will still check with work but here's something to look at for now. Here's Amber/Orange and here's Claret Both Claret & Amber work out at 6p a sheet to the nearest penny so not as competetive as I had hoped when he was telling his wee story but still cheaper than 10p a sheet. Anyone fancy helping me dig out a phone number or address for Paper Rover or shop in the real world so we can get a quote & haggle a bit? LadywellToi
Have you thought about contacting Andy Devlin at the Scottish Sun? They quite often put leaflets or promotional items in the paper such as an A2 size Scotland Road Map (or was that the Record). They own their own printing press and they were involved in the Nancy display. Issue is they will have to do something similar for the unwashed so they don't discriminate them or be accused of bias. Bop
Card, it needs to stay firm enough when its held up so that the whole thing looks connected.
LadywellToi
I have a contact/former colleague who works in the events/exhibitions industry, he has floorplans of all major venues in the UK, including stadia. If the plan he has is detailed enough to show each individual seat then it is possible you could spell out something inspiring or incorporate something else. Granted it would be a little more complex on the day to set out but it gives you options.
