wellfan09
It would appear they were represented at a meeting of clubs that voted unanimously in favour of a 14, so I gather that they aren't in favour of a 10. Why they would 'be', not why they 'are'
kmmfc
12 team leagues, play each other home and away. Split into a top 8, bottom 4 join a league with top 4 from 2nd division. Either carry on the top 8 with the points accumulated or to make it more interesting, restart and play each other home and away again. Potential for different champions??!!! The middle league (i.e. bottom 4 and top 4) would have to restart, play each other home and away again. This would mean there would be a potential of 4 teams relegated and 4 teams promoted. In total, if I've done my sums right, that would mean 36 games, 2 games less than at present which the clubs seem to be clamouring for. I've probably missed something obvious though! Jonesy
What happens to the 1st division then? Are they meant to carry on for the rest of the season with just 6/8 teams? Any idea that starts mixing up teams from different leagues half way through is a complete non-starter. Would be a bigger farce than the current split.
