Rickoza
Guess Jamie made up for his miss by drawing a penalty. Really does come as deserved this penalty.

Well Up For It!
Dundee Utd, Hearts & Aberdeen are all losing - we get a winner here it could be the most important goal of our season!

Rickoza
FT 1-1. Given the stats, it's one we should've won. Still, said before I'd have taken a draw. Now six unbeaten, that's terrific. Edit - Stats were Shots on goal - Hibs 7 Motherwell 13 , Shots off target - 4-3, Possession 43.9-56.1, corners 1-6!!

Juan Kerse
Can't argue with that - like Ricky says it keeps the run going into our next home game agtainst Accies (although they aint too bad). With Sheep, United and Hearts all getting no points today it is a good point. Saying that, if I were at the game I bet I would be ragin' at a point. siebsbarmyarmy
Good result today. Happy with a point although maybe 3 pts could have been a possibility. Table now looks like this. Hamilton level with us on points. 1 Celtic 23 9 2 1 29 12 8 1 2 23 13 27 54 2 Rangers 24 10 1 1 31 9 6 4 2 22 9 35 53 3 Dundee Utd 24 7 3 2 19 14 3 5 4 14 16 3 38 4 Hearts 24 7 3 2 16 12 4 2 6 9 14 -1 38 5 Aberdeen 24 6 2 4 15 11 5 2 5 14 14 4 37 6 Hibernian 24 5 3 4 18 17 3 4 5 12 15 -2 31 7 Motherwell 24 5 3 4 16 18 3 2 7 11 15 -6 29 8 Hamilton 24 6 1 5 16 12 3 1 8 7 24 -13 29 9 Kilmarnock 24 4 0 8 9 17 4 3 5 14 15 -9 27 10 St Mirren 24 3 5 4 7 9 4 0 8 12 19 -9 26 11 Falkirk 24 4 3 5 12 13 1 4 7 13 22 -10 22 12 Inverness CT 23 1 2 8 9 20 4 0 8 13 21 -19

fat_tony
Just back from the game. We should have walked it. Were by far the better side but just couldn't find the cutting edge. Hibs were pish. When Jones goes they're going to be fucked! A silly defensive lapse cost us a goal but Hibs didn't look like doing anything much for the rest of the game. Klimpl screwed up for the goal but apart from that I thought the whole team played really well. Clarkson and Sutton looked good up front together. Disappointed we didn't win but just glad we kept the unbeaten run going. Really need to pump accies in our next league game though! EDIT: Couldn't make out the writing at the match, looks like a sponsor of some kind though.
Andy_P
Would have been nice to have got the win to move above them but would equally have been happy to take a point if offered it before the game. Perhaps that's a bit of a lack of ambition on my part, particularly with our record up there in recent seasons, but a near decade and a half of almost certain defeat at Easter Road is still very much ingrained in me making me chuffed at returning westwards with anything. I noticed Clarky speak of taking extra responsibility after Porter's departure and that would seem to be evident with him taking the pen. Like Neil said earlier he's not someone you would immediately think of as a penalty taker. I remember him missing at Dens a few seasons back, can't mind if he's taken any more since then but somehow have never associated him with that role. Nice to see him put it away obviously though. Good to keep the run going, to be placed for a push for the top six and a good opportunity to move away from Hamilton in our next league game and avenge that drivel at NDP in December. postiejim
Here is the last two paragraphs from a write up in the Scotsman. It was becoming very much backs-to-the-wall stuff for Hibs as the game approached the final 15 minutes, Paul Quinn bringing out the best in Szamotulski as he burrowed his way deep into the home side's penalty area only for the Pole to bring off a tremendous save. But even Szamotulski had to admit defeat in the 75th minute after Motherwell were awarded a penalty as referee Mike McCurry ruled Thicot, who had replaced Chisholm at half-time, had pulled back Murphy, Clarkson stepping up to blast home the spot-kick and level the score and leave Hibs hanging on grimly for the final whistle. A good point and another good showing.
Jonesy
First pen this season? Brilliant DC!! Never thought he would take them!! Only our second penalty this season I think. Ports missed one at the very start of the season at home. I think either the Aberdeen or Dundee United game.

WellTiliDie
Great performance today really impressive in the second half and unlukcy not to have won. I thought that Clarkson, Klimpl and Reynolds were the best players on the park today. It was good to see us passing the ball so well in the second half that we dominated throughout. We were just lacking on that final delivery into the box and finishing but we can't argue when you consider how bad we were 6 weeks ago against Hamilton. Rickoza
Is this not the organisation who had the late, great, Uncle Phil in many of their ads? Nice, and somewhat touching, to see another Uncle Phil link on a successful No.10 Motherwell shirt.
El Grew
Would have taken a point before game so quite happy. We are now 6 games unbeaten since the New Year, which is pretty good going. Only disappointment was not beating Falkirk last week. No danger of the dreaded R word so maybe the guys can settle down, relax, play some football and maybe get a wee cup run and sneak up the league. Not impossible to get 3rd or 4th place both of which qualify for the UEFA Cup.
DC'd
Just back in from the game. Very good performance, only one team in that entire game. Hibs very rarely out of their own half (2nd half), Riordan virtually anonymous in that 2nd have and more-so after Colin (All Arms and Dives) Nish went off. Reverted to a 4-5-1 and it was ours for the taking, so defensive from them and we deserved more from that match. Stone wall penalty, although it appeared that McCurry was itching for Murphy to go down before giving it, no way was he just giving it for the tug - shitebag. Absolutely fantastic performance from Coach, really drove the team forward, and noticed early in the first half, that it was him shouting at the defence to push up and was orchestrating most things from the back. Very good performance from PQ and unlucky with his burst into the box and shot. Clarky and J.O'B were everywhere as well, yes O'Brien's crossing yet again let him down at times, but his work rate and balls to get stuck in was great and caused many problems to there defence and had the LB on so many occasions. Shame that Sutton looked really off the pace, but that was understandable due to his lack of games. MotM - Quinn, closely followed by O'Brien, Clarky and Klimpl. Shame we couldn't nick a winner late on, but would have been a travesty if we had came away from that game with nothing. They contributed fuck all to that game, bar their goal - which was well created and well taken. Otherwise, absolutely nothing for us to fear about a potential top 6 contender. Rickoza
It really makes you wonder how on Earth we could've been so bad to be ransacked by them at Fir Park earlier in the season, don't it?
