Andy_P
I think the one on the right of the second image is the King of Spain Cup so I'm guessing one of the other two may be the Barcelona Cup. A further guess for the final trophy would be the Lanarkshire Cup which Motherwell would have been holders of in successive seasons around 1927. John Sailor Hunter appears in both images. underboyleheating
The trophy on the far right is the Copa Barcelona cup. I was involved in the photography of the trophy for use in the club programme.
something else
Is the copa Barcelona trophy on display at fir park? We should be wearing a star on our shirts to commemorate winning it

ECOSSE1991
Thanks guys for the info. I'd add photos to my posts instead of Photobucket links If I knew how to.
underboyleheating
I'd add photos to my posts instead of Photobucket links If I knew how to. According to Photobucket for online forums you need to copy the IMG link and paste it into your message. Edit: that seems to work!

ECOSSE1991
MFC 1931 South Africa Tour itinerary (poster size). Look at the number of matches played in 15 days and over 19,000 miles by sea and rail. I wonder how many of todays players would cope, no planes, no headphones, no twitter etc.,

ECOSSE1991
Some old Motherwell autographs. The 1941 list shows the regiments that some of the players served with.

underboyleheating
Does anyone know of programmes that were produced for tours of South Africa other than those shown here? There was a rare newspaper pull-out for the South American tour produced for the visit of the mighty Well (available from a football auction sale). Maybe the South African print media did something similar? The original Argentina newspaper pull-out is still available to buy here. Edit: I logged in and noticed that the item has now been sold. ECOSSE1991
An article about the tour of Argentina (May/June 1927) in the clubs handbook for the 1927-28 season.
