Brazilian
and Rangers and Celtic are never scheduled to play at home on the same weekend. not quite accurate, that can happen and has ( e.g April 2010) SPL site indicates same day could be an issue that is avoided and like you say its never happened on the opening weekend fixture card is there not a history of fixtures almost being reversed season to season or is that a myth? LadywellToi
We should have run a sweep, 50% going to the site. Maybe next year.
the fox
Im not sure why but for some reason i have a feeling it will be St Johnstone at Fir Park

fatcalf
See these glamour friendlies, obviously the Old Firm are both involved but has anyone else organised one? If not then common sense dictates the Old Firm game should be scheduled that weekend and let them catch up, minimal disruption, due to their greed after all.
Lobey_Dosser
Hibs v Sunderland 6th Aug. Not sure if there are any others.

siebsbarmyarmy
Potential for a really decent start to the season on the cards. Happy with that.
Lobey_Dosser
Weather permitting, I'm liking the look of Tynecastle on Christmas Eve. Hopefully we have our squad in place for the beginning of the season as we have been handed a favourable draw.
Finlay
ICT at Home on the first day of the season. Good winable start right there.
Steelmen
i know this is motherwell we are talking about but there is a possible good start to the season there.

milo
Can only echo what other posters have said. There is real opportunity to get some points on the board early doors with these fixtures, but it is Motherwell afterall....
Finlay
Don't appear to have an Old Firm double header at any stage (pre split) either.
Brazilian
17 away 16 at home pre-split no home matches on the two popular festive dates (debatable) am loving the look of all those Saturday schedules (for now!)
steelboy
tynescastle (a) on xmas eve could be the stuff legends are made of away to dundee united, hibs and ict in october.
LadywellToi
Happy as Larry, Favourable start to the campaign, 9-10 points from the first four games is definitely achievable. Always going to be away on the game nearest Christmas, couldn't think of a better venue in the SPL than Tynecastle though. The only oversight is by putting in a midweek card on the 28th, as Brazilian says, both festive fixtures are away. To be fair that is the case for most of the teams. Jonesy
Absolute shite. First home game of the season I'm off for is Killie on 22 October. And I'll be working for every Old firm game of the season by the looks of it.

gdalli10
And I'll be working for every Old firm game of the season by the looks of it. id argue thats a good thing games vs "them" are shite good chance for us and ict to go top for a week, that would be nice
LadywellToi
Somebody must be at home no? Home 24th, Away 28th, Home 2nd or vice-versa only St. Mirren and Hibs get two homes in a row over this period and therefore have one bank holiday game at home and one away. Means I need to put up with all the c***s and their shite all day when they play each other.
