Dee
Here's a quote from the matchday thread: We were (mostly) denied entry with flags/drum even after clarification these were allowed. The stewards began to pick people out individually and state that they would be "a risk to H&S inside the stadium" and one by one we weren't allowed to enter the ground. After arguing for about 20-30 mins we decided if one wasn't going in, no-one was (bar a few who'd entered before this happened). Their H&S representative in particular was a total prick, enforcing "her stewards" to block the gates to anyone who got off our bus so she could grant them access one by one if she thought they'd cause no harm in the stadium. Even when we told her we were going round to the office to complain she was straight on her radio ensuring all stewards ensured no 'Well fans were allowed near the offices in the Main Stand. Apparently the continuous beating of the drum and vigorous waving of our flags, she'd decide who was allowed in and who wasn't. Adopted the one out - all out attitude before we even got in. Even the police were trying to get her down from her high horse, backing us up saying we weren't causing any harm and only trying to do good things inside the stadium. Sadly she wasn't for listening to anyone today, so none of us got in. Big thanks to the OB up there I guess, helped us out a lot with this lass on her authority trip. Managed to get 3 of us into the home end with a spray-painted banner held up at half time saying "HEAVY HANDS = EMPTY STANDS". Not sure exactly how many seen it but it pretty much summed our trip up exactly. Oh well, hope she had fun today enforcing her shitey rules, won't stop us doing what we do anywhere else. Actually worse now there than at Celtic, and I thought that would be hard to top. Could have easily made another grand on admission alone from the lads on our bus; their loss and the pub landlord's gain! Some quotes from players on Twitter: Lasley: "Disappointed to hear some fans didn't get in to see the game yesterday . Surely a better atmosphere adds to the product as a whole?" Stevie Hammell "Huge number of travelling Well fans refused entry at to the game at the weekend, without fans we have no game!!! #poorshow"

See I don't get this bit, she's got more authority than the polis? Constantly being told down here the match commander rules the roost yet here we have a 'security advisor' refusing the advice of the polis, surely the officers on the ground would be in contact with the match commander. weeyin
Any business has the right to refuse to deal with a customer, so technically, she does have that power. Crazy turning away paying that many customers, but perfectly legal.

madscot
Even just the irony of Jim McLean & fair play appearing in the one sentence. We had Tommy they had Jim .With hindsight who would you have had. Edit they also had Tommy .
numpty
We had Tommy they had Jim .With hindsight who would you have had. Purely hypothetical of course, but if Jim could've worked half the managerial miracles at Fir Park that he did at Tannadice, he'd probably have knocked Tommy's achievements into a pokey hat. So on that basis, I'd have been more than happy to have Jim instead of Tommy.

Then again if Tommy had stayed in 1994 who knows what he might have achieved with that squad he built, could have surpassed Jim's record, purely hypothetical of course. Dee
Back page of the Motherwell Times today is talking about this incident, looks like they have contacted United as they responded saying those refused entry were "intoxicated" which was not the reason given on the day! And again, if the police had reason to believe you were intoxicated, they wouldn't have recommended letting you guys in. I think that's the biggest point in your favour in this whole debacle. another number
intoxication is an easy thing for them to hide behind because they know you can't prove otherwise after the event. As has been said the police disagreeing is the biggest thing on your side.

SuperCC
You all need to be thinking on your feet in these situations. If they had 60 of you outside in a group then that means you probably had almost 60 smartphones in pockets that can record crystal clear video and sound. We need to start recording this nonsense whenever and wherever it happens and start publishing it on youtube!!. Lets really embarrass these little Hitlers and start demanding more respect as paying customers and apologies from Clubs when they treat us like shite! This is especially relevant if you are getting any crap from stewards or local police - if they say that you cant record then feel free to point out that your are perfectly entitled to record any public serving officer in a public place and if its inside the stadium then point out that its not a criminal offence but a civil matter and you are quite happy for them to serve an injunction but they cant stop you and the police cant intervene - they actually have to support you! So if you see any Well fans being huckled by anyone then get the phones out and start recording!! Simples......
fatcalf
Liked the pics of Dunfermline fans last week all pointing their cameras at police and stewards but it really does need to be loads doing it. One or two would run the risk of being singled out and huckled.

phoenix
I expect the £1200 denied into the clubs funds will be questioned and if she disnae have a right good H & S reason will be instantly sacked, which is probably what will happen on this occasion with a bit of luck.
