MJC_MKI
Could have been worse, but this will be a hard game for us and is most definately a potential 'banana skin'.

Big Stall
Draw probably means at least 5 spl teams getting banged out. Good news, as long as we take care of our own business!

well-army
Happy with the draw as we didn't get an SPL side As MJC says though it will be a tough game as morton will no doubt see us as a big cup scalp
MJC_MKI
Morton will bring a big support. A full strength 'Well team will be needed for this one. They certainly will, this tie has the potential to bring in an excellent crowd so hopefully it doesn't get snowed off or anything. We'll need to play better than we did against Queen's Park as I doubt Morton will be quite as generous to our backline as they were. The way we've been playing at home this season, this will be no foregone conclusion and we'll need to be right up for this and at our best because Morton will come here and fancy their chances. Looking forward to this one already
weeyin
Could have been worse, but this will be a hard game for us and is most definately a potential 'banana skin'. Can you not just be happy that your team scored 4 goals at the weekend and made it to the next round? (Although I heard Arbroath put up a decent showing). Steve Diggle
Take that ....and when was the last time we had two consecutive home ties in the Scottish cup. Probably 1991 *Oh Dont start that pish again*
MJC_MKI
The last time we had two home ties back to back in the Scottish Cup was in 2007 when ironically we played Morton in the same stage before drawing St.Johnstone in the Quarters. The least said about that game the better though.

weeyin
Probably 1991 *Oh Dont start that pish again* I was on holiday when we played Morton on that Cup run. So I didn't have to endure all the stress of that particular tie - just picked up the paper next morning and read we had made it through. postiejim
http://www.greenockmorton.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=37653&st=0 what the morton fans think of the tie.
milo
Some of them are bit full of themselves considering it's over 20 years since they were even in the top division!
pingu
Some of them are bit full of themselves considering it's over 20 years since they were even in the top division! Don't see where you get that from. A pretty measured and realistic response from them I thought. Basically along the lines of, "och ffs we wanted a day out further away than Motherwell, they're a good team, we'll probably get beat but we might have a slight chance." Browni
http://www.greenockmorton.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=37653&st=0 what the morton fans think of the tie. Just seen this post there (GreacensGenitão @ Jan 9 2012, 02:54 PM) *That's because Raith are headed for the 2nd division and Motherwell are Europa League bound. sad.gif Champions League wink.gif Rangers don't meet the eligibility criteria to play in European competition. Now how true is that considering their shares have just been suspended?
gary_411
Can't think of many teams I would rather have had, and a home draw is very nice.
Iain7_mfc
Gonna be a tough tie but every cup game is a tough tie. The only team i would have took instead of Morton is Queen of the South!
Ya Bezzer!
Morton of course have Peter McDonald as their main striker - unhappy memories. One of the boys in the work is a Morton fan so we need to win this one for the slagging rights!
DEWELL
Happy with the draw. Morton are crap and they'll bring a big support to generate a good atmosphere and a fine 3-0 win to the Well in front of a 6000 plus crowd.
Finlay
They are certainly not crap but they ARE a real opportunity to progress to the Quarters.
