Big Stall
Friday was blessing in disguise, with all the players arguing with eachother, this week in training there will be some true words said, and maybe some grievances aired. That will do the trick im sure, I wonder what your tune will be if Humphrey shows up black and blue because the rest of the squad recognised how shite he's been of late............. Andy_P
Excellent. Keep that kind of talk coming Saints. Doing McCall's motivational team-talk for him for this weekend is ideal!
HanoMaSano
... We can't play at home because our pitch isn't wide enough (narrowest in the league I believe?? ) ... I'm pretty sure that's wrong, in fact I was sure we had one of the widest (but shortest) pitches in the league. EDIT: A quick check on http://www.scottishgrounds.co.uk/ backs up what I thought, whether their numbers are accurate or not I'm not sure: Rangers: ......115 x 78 yards Motherwell: ...110 x 75 yards St Johnstone: .115 x 75 yards Inverness: ....115 x 75 yards Celtic: .......115 x 74 yards Kilmarnock: ...115 x 74 yards Hibs: .........112 x 74 yards Hearts: .......107 x 74 yards Aberdeen: .....110 x 72 yards Dundee Utd: ...110 x 72 yards Dunfermline: ..115 x 71 yards St Mirren: ....110 x 70 yards Second widest (after Rangers), second shortest (after Hearts).

weeyin
Second widest (after Rangers), second shortest (after Hearts). Second shortest and we still manage to leave too big a gap between the midfield and Higdon
Yabba's Turd
It's still one of the largest parks I've ever played on, Fir Park is not tight, the stands just make it look small. Reckon Hearts will be more danger to us than Killie

My post was based around an interview with SMC last week. but you're correct, we had it widened last season (or the one previous)
Orinoco
dont think the size of park has got anything to do with anything. Seems alot of clubs find it easier away from home. perhaps its the modern day tactics.

Well a lot of teams play the 4-2-3-1 system (or variant) these days which is suited to counter attacking football and therefore away sides.
