Faraway Saint
How's the weather been overnight down your way? Freezing up here in Arbroath, hope you've got that blanket on, keep that sand warm. Hope it's a good crowd and an open game. I, like a few of you guys, would take a draw, we've a tough couple of games coming up, a point would be a decent result. 6/1 for 1-1. An even better 14/1 1-2. And another dot.

Well 4 Europe
Even enough game, they probably edged it in terms of chances. Although Higdon should have scored another and Murphy had a good chance at the end. We were great for the first 15 mins of the 2nd half but seemed deflated when they equalised. Two great goals though in their own right. Goodwin was terrific for them. Another failed attempt to win at home but a very entertaining game and another point. Looking forward to the Hearts game next week, back on the road in the silver strip. Bring it on!
Ya Bezzer!
Draw was about right although St. Mirren probably slightly edged it. Poor first half from us but second half was an improvement even if we didn't exactly hit the heights.
Rickoza
Why was Goodwin allowed to stay on the park? After punching Jenno, he then continued to do one hefty foul after another and wasn't even spoken to! Not a good game, still, a point is a point. Finlay
Fair play to St Mirren as they came to Fir Park and went for it which made for a far more entertaining game than more recent ones at home. Good passing side that either defends very high or, like ourselves away from home, are pretty rapid on the counter attack. Lennon has built a half decent side and if they get a bit of luck they could be top 6. Grudgingly their goal was a bit of a belter. Ref was an utter shambles for both sides I think. The less said about him the better. A point is a fair result for us from that game. Hearts obviously gained two points on us today but again the headlines for them are with regards to more off the field matters. They will run hot and cold for the rest of the campaign. Killie losing a last goal to Dun Utd was a REAL bonus however. Other teams round about us drawing their games are what we should be looking for. A Celtic win tomorrow and it hasn't been that bad a weekend for us. Onto Tynecastle next week.
Well Boy 80
Cant say we deserved to win that today. Part of the problem at home seems to be we sit too deep. The amount of seconds balls that St Mirren won uncontested was way to high. Goodwin should have walked for the two footed lunch on Jenno and then punching, but Jenno needs to be a bit more savvy than to just lash out and foul the nearest guy to him. Him getting booked, along with Lasley meant we couldnt put the foot in the second half. On the plus side Murphy looked a lot more like his old self and perhaps should have shot instead of trying to play Higgy in. Daley was outstanding and showed how a winger with a footballing brain plays. Very strong and doesnt panic when he has the ball. Humphrey reallys needs to lift his head more. The few openings we got in the second half seemed to fall to him and usually broke down by picking the wrong option. Murphy at one point was making a great run into the box and all he has to do is roll an easy ball inside but he tried to beat the man and eventually lost possession. All in all a point gained, because we really could have lost in the second half.
Scarecrow
Cannot complain at a point this afternoon, Saints were the better side from the point that they equalised, having said that they had hit the bar and were awarded a penalty (correctly it has to be said) before the linesman got us out of jail by flagging for offside before they scored, they then missed a sitter right after scoring, they also left two players up on the half way line every time we got a corner and used this tactic to break on us a few times. Dont know how to solve the home form and turn draws into wins. Onwards and awaywards we go!!
Rickoza
Had Goodwin got the red he deserved so early the game would have changed considerably. You could sense that, had anyone of our five (FIVE yellows, and were any seriously deserved?) players on a booking made anything remotely late, they'd have been instantly dismissed. Goodwin just seemd do do what he liked all afternoon, and was guilty of at least four tackles worthy of a yellow after the eariler incident. Well Boy 80
I think probably Jenno's was the only one of ours that was deserved, because he's pretty much just took a boot at the guy. Goodwin had 3 fouls on Higdon so your looking a second booking because its Persistant fouling. The one that really got me was Stephen Thompson getting of with 2 deliberate hand balls in the first half without getting a booking. Both were deliberate and for me its a booking, becaus ehe was trying to gain an advantage. Referee was terrible. He did get the penalty call correct though. i was right in line with it and didnt think it was a foul.

Rickoza
After Jennos, was any other deserved? Goodwin did what he wanted really.
