Stu
It'd also be easy for him to say "I've given good service to the club since I've been here and have played well in most games. But if that still means I have to take abuse from my own supporters, then I'm slapping in a transfer request and getting the hell out of this mental asylum." Welldaft Mk1
What is the story behind this? What exactly happened? What happened was that one fan was rather vociferous in his disapproval of a long ball/punt up the park by Darren R in the 2nd half after ICT had scored. Not sure there was too much in the way of direct abuse. I did not hear the exact words, but it sounded like the word dick or pr1ck may have been used. Not sure why Randolph was getting it tight, when there would have been more deserving recipients That said Randolphs reaction whilst understandable was not exactly professional. Should have left it there rather than try to wade into the Cooper at the end of the game....I doubt he even knew who was the culprit. In short frustration from fans and player alike to a poor second half performance and being 1-0 down at home. However abuse of that nature/audible volume is uncalled for and hardly likely to inspire the team/players!!
'Wellfan 2k7
So tit for tat. big signs in the Cooper saying that Bad Language is not acceptable
Grant
Randolph punted the ball up the park and someone from the back of the cooper shouted, "Stop punting the ball up the park ya dick!". He turned round a few times, obviously a bit shocked that that came from his own support then at the end, jumped over the wall and folk were holding him back. Think the guy had pissed off by this time but so nothing happened. A bit unprofessional of him but you don't expect to hear that from your own "fans". Big Stall
So tit for tat. big signs in the Cooper saying that Bad Language is not acceptable Quick question, how would the offending supporter react if randy turned up at his work and shouted 'ya dick' at him? Onthefringes
Why the 'for fuck sake?' Didn't and most certainly don't condone any of the actions towards him, but, is he above the law likes? Big lad that he is, doubt he'd attempt similar with no support. Big lad that he is, doubt he'd attempt similar with no support. Indeed, the last time a Motherwell fan gave a keeper a clout down that end he was sentenced to 3 months. And no matter what led up to it if Randolph went into the stand looking for the guy in question he was asking for a clout. BTW "Abuse" ? Stevie Woods would've been delighted to be getting the abuse that Randolph gets !

Turn your original question back round, would the guy in question have been so brave if he wasnt a safe distance away, behind a wall, have police between him& randolph& be hidden amongst 1500 fans? Easy to be a brave man when theres no chance the target can get to you

Finlay
Never thought we would have a better keeper for Motherwell after John Ruddy but we do and the best thing is he is not on loan. Randolph should be in the Premiership in the next two years. Our biggest asset imo and the best thing Craig Brown did for the Club.
