Kilmarnock Vs Motherwell Discussion Thread

Old Firm fans will be fully focused on news from Rugby Park tomorrow as anything less than victory for Motherwell would ensure Celtic could win the title at Ibrox on Sunday.

Former Rangers midfielder McCall, whose team are level on points with the Ibrox side, said: "I've got friends who are Rangers supporters, and family, and it's probably mixed for them.

"They don't want to see Motherwell jump too far ahead, but don't want the opportunity for their greatest rivals to have a party in their stadium.

"But it will be in their own hands as well. They have got a game against Celtic, you can never call a derby.

"Both teams are coming off the back of disappointing defeats. It's got all the ingredients of a torrid affair.

And here we have the primary concern of the media tucked nicely away mid-article. It doesn't really matter that its a battle for a Champions League/Europa League/Top Six place does it? It's only attracted some relevance because it sets the context for tomorrow's Old Firm game.

A hard game to call. Killie are hard to predict.

They do have an excellent recent record against us which suggests that if we are really at the top of our game then, with a bit of luck we might just snatch a draw.

By my reckoning over the last 9 Spl meetings we have won 4 lost 2 and drawn 3.....

En route to Killie atm, really looking forward to the game.

Predicting a tight 1-Nil finish coming off the top of Big Higgy's heed.

Desperately needing suggestions of where to go for a decent pint in Killie though, answers on a postcard please...

Ref and linesman fookin hopeless Stevie h booked for having a go at ref as he is so pish. Look a bit nervous at the back, higgy fouled non stop oj trying hard but nothing coming off and humph the ususal brilliance then piss poor pass. More joy down wings with Stevie h. All in all midfield battle going to dictate this game and we are missing las imo. A tad fortunate to be even at ht as Heffernan shot very close to putting us behind and usual pish but think it will be true that the 1st goal will be crucial. Anyway 2nd halve to go and Mon the well lets step it up a gear
