Rammer
Probably just unsettling tactics as we're due to play them soon. The press have a nasty habit of doing this to us also.

Half Man-Half BearPig
What's the regulations regarding a bawsman signing? Is it any time in the 6 months before acontact expires or is it only within a transfer window? think if theres is 6 months or less left on the contract, any team can talk to him and offer a contract, the player presigns and joins when there current contract expires, thats how it works in FM anyway
TAM
This has been a rumour before - during last summer I think. I spoke to Stephen last week and he is keen to stay in the area for family reasons, he was looking to speak to the club over the next few weeks over a new deal but no-one could fault him for seeing what else is available. But if this came off it would still be a surprise!!!

milo
Can't see this myself. Unless it's the old favourite and familiar tactic of Celtics of signing key players from other teams with no intention of playing them, just purely to weaken the opposition ensuring the two horse race remains. ONeils40yarder
aye hes defo a celtic fan by birth but don't really think that comes into it anyway when he has the potential to increase his wages greatly. In all honesty though; he has next to no chance of getting a game for them.

Steve Diggle
unsettling rumour i hope. remember recently jambos were going for chrissy p just before playing them. rotten tactics i reckon to maybe make player take his eye of the game Since this genuine rumour is not from any of the papers, TV or radio - we can hardly accuse Celtic of unsettling tactics. I quite like watching the bottom of the thread - see who's watching. Quite interesting none of watchers have 'participated'
weeyin
Why should the watchers participate? Apart from its comedy value, there is nothing here of any substance.
Guest
I'm a bit confused by that too Weeyin. I'm sure theres a Celtic fan pishing himself laughing somewhere.

Guest
By my count, Celtic have six players that can play in the middle. Why Hughes as well?
TvTotherwell
you would think they would want players that add depth for the champions league ? although on the other hand hughes has champions league experience. . . . . i know he's nowhere near that level but . . . . . that strachan for ya! ONeils40yarder
Scott Brown will be punted at the end of the season for daft money, Paul Hartley is way passed his best, Robson and Flood are more wide players IMO, Crosas is the only other central midfielder that I can think of. I think Hughes is better than is being made out here. And while I think this is a pile of keech personally. Sellick will lose Nakamura and will cash in on either Brown or McGreedy in the summer.
