Guest
Did he not get injured? Seem to remember him looking the business warming up at one point or another.
scoojy
Even Championship sides have dedicated teams of fitness staff, separate dieticians etc etc. Just as richer clubs bring a higher standard of player, manager and coaching staff (usually)...the same is true for roles like that. A Championship side or above could have Jamie in much better physical shape than we could, purely because of the time they would be able to dedicate to him and the higher level of expertise that the clubs can afford to pay for. There's a blog on the BBC talking about Man City's sports science regime. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18887653

one m in motherwell
According to Twitter, we have the famous Tony Rialist in goals for the Thistle game. Any idea what his real identity is?

ScottW1886
I imagine it'll be an Under 20 target, by my reckoning we only have Ross Stewart at that age level... Either that or Craig Gordon

Either that or Craig Gordon Aye Gordon would be a decent back-up for Randolph, although Hollis would maybe be a bit annoyed...

tottenmfc
Motherwell89 even more so, Hollis being the secret weapon and all..... That's true but just think of the shift Gordon would put in trying to secure the #1 jersey! He'd be unreal!
ScottW1886
Good signing - if he can play centre half. He's quite tall, so I daresay he could put his mind to it! Anyway, I'm sure there are more reasons that he won't be anywhere near Fir Park on trial than the fact he's not a centre half!
Noah Dosser
I was told the trialist keeper today was Colin Stewart. He is the son of Jim Stewart former Middlesborough, Rangers & Scotland. Last heard of Rangers goalkeeping coach. He is 32 I believe and has played for several pro clubs last of which was Morton FC
Well-Made
This will be him then. Wiki Should we take this as a hint that Randy is away shortly? Stewart apparently said he left Morton for regular football elsewhere.

Even if Randy is away, I think Hollis is a banker to be first choice.
FrazMFC96
Fuck, Colin Stewart is absolute shite. Saw him at Morton a lot last season and he was the cause of 90% of the goals they conceded last season. Absolute bomb-scare.
Motherwell Fan
Colin Stewart was the keeper when we played Morton in the cup last season.

Noah Dosser
Relax people. Have it on good authority he was 'helping out' today due to young Stewart (u/ 20's keeper) being injured, and the club not wanting to risk playing Randolph or Hollis in this match with the CLQ looming. Noah Dosser
Question re Shirkie, here he is with other U/17's who signed in the summer Fir Park five promoted to U20s squad Thursday, June 14, 2012Five of Motherwell’s most talented youngsters have signed professional terms with the club and will form a part of the new Under 20s squad next term. The five (L-R), Steven Higgins (Motherwell), Fraser Johnston (Strathaven), Dale Shirkie (Mauchline), Morgyn Neil (Motherwell) and Paul McCafferty (Motherwell) were all stand-outs with the Under 17s squad last season and have been promoted for the up-coming season. I think his performance in January was par for the course for him, judging by some of the comments!
