another number
does this mean we might see Ramsden move into a holding midfield role? Or Hateley into midfield? or did McCall like the look of a back 5?? Hope it won't mean hately in midfield. Right back is by far his better position
stoney
was Kerr the tall boy that came on after faddy in the everton game? if so seemed an ok player and will be a threat at our corners cos of his height

Villageman
Kerr is 19/20 is he not. On another thread we have the pro/cons of playing Cummins after only 2 competetive games now we are suggesting he Kerr plays after 10/15minutes against Everton. Fail to see the logic. mfc88
Think this means that hutchy is away or McCall sees ramsden or hateley in midfield. Otherwise don't see the logic in a 6 month loan signing if it's not going to make an impact on the starting line up. We have Saunders, page and cummins for cover in that position. Brazilian
Saunders is out injured for the best part of six months the boy Kerr is cover unless he excells
mfc88
Six months?????? Shit!! Admitedly had no idea but I assumed it was a matter of weeks. Didn't realise it was that bad. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery for his sake.
Rickoza
In case anyone was wondering, Saint Johnstone have signed Beattie on a 1-year-deal subject o a medical. Don't think it was ourselves who were interseted anyway.
mfc
good signing that for saints i wish we had got beattie
MJC_MKI
Craig Beattie??? That's a superb signing for St.Johnstone, a player who would have improved our squad without doubt.
weeyin
No way we could afford Beattie and, tbh, despite the doubters on here, not a position we need to address compared to midfield.
Joeboy
Not too sure about how I feel about us signing this Kerr lad. I think we are well covered at centre back, especially since Cummins' emergence and Ramsden's signing. Might have preferred us to sign a midfielder. Still, in McCall we trust.
henry
Kerr is streets ahead of the bombscare Page so thats something in his favour.

Motherwell89
Twitter rumours, "Burnley's Irish defender Kevin Long could be on his way to Motherwell on a season-long loan"
Rickoza
No-one else curious as to how Saint Johnstone can afford Beattie? I certainly am. Very low crowds, no big money investor, seems a tad strange.
johnstone
They have some guy pumping quite a bit of cash into the club. They are a very financially stable club.
mfc88
They certainly seem to have strengthened this summer more than anyone else. Brand new front three of hasselbaink, tade and beattie? Doesnt sound bad, plus (just checked) four others, one of which another striker!! EDIT: Just seen they actually lost a handful of strikers... DEWELL
How can Saunders be out for 6 months? Surely not.. He's not been back yet. If this is true i think his career must be in doubt. <_>
Finlay
How so? Different body part injured is it not? Very bad luck and could stall/stop his career with us but I doubt it will finish it.
TAM
He's just had knee surgery. So diff injury and should come back ok.

I'd imagine Sandaza and Sheridan were on a fairly hefty wedge, Sheridan ended up there because they were able to pay more of his wages than Hibs, Croft much the same, I'd imagine that Morris was on a tidy amount as well. Saints are just about the best run club in Scotland, and given that we're not really losing that much out of the TV deal, they've probably just squared up with where they were last year. punk_in_drublic
Beattie thing is strange. I would have thought that Rangers would pay him at least a couple of grand per week. Can the saints match that?
