DC'd
Now that the list has been updated and narrowed down quite considerably to very few permatations. Here is a quick helpful guide via the use of Expedia (obviously far cheaper ways of travelling than via Expedia) to current costs from Glasgow/Manchester to the potential places we could be visiting: Glasgow to Kyiv (Dynamo Kiev): Flights - £305 Flights + Accomodation Package - £377 - £455 Glagow to Istanbul (Fenerbahce): Flights - £438 (via London) Flights + Accomodation Package - £460 - £510 Glasgow to Athens (AEK Athens or Panathinaikos): Flights - £455 (via London) Flights + Accomodation Package - £330 - £370 (don't ask how the Package works out remarkably lower than the Flight Only) Glasgow to Brussels (Club Brugge): Flights - £238 (subsequently train required to Bruges) Flights + Accomodation Package - £385 - £430 (excluding Train Costs from Brussels - Bruges) Glasgow to Copenhagen (Kobenhavn): Flights - £190 Flights + Accomodation Package - £254 - £350 Manchester to Kyiv (Dynamo Kiev): Flights - £206 - £304 Flights + Accomodation Package - £278 - £350 Manchester to Istanbul (Fenerbahce): Flights - £240 - £311 Flights + Accomodation Package - £330 - £370 Manchester to Athens (AEK Athens or Panathinaikos): Flights - £330 to £370 (via Dusseldorf) Flights + Accomodation Package - £302 - £325 Manchester to Brugge (Club Brugge): Flights - £143 - £159 Flights + Accomodation Package - £290 - £330 (excluding Train Costs from Brussels - Bruges) Manchester to Copenhagen (Kobenhavn): Flights - £121 - £169 Flights + Accomodation Package - £197 - £280 **** Obviously current prices are prior to inflation after the draw has been made. **** Accomodation is based on a 3*** Hotel and 3 night stay (to cover whether its a Tues night game or a Wed night game) - Dated selected would be for the first leg to be away i.e. Monday 30th July to 2nd August. **** Obviously there will other methods of transport available for Bruges, and perhaps to an extent Copenhagen. **** Prices will obviously fluctuate nearer the time, and also after the Draw has been made, and advance booking discounts will not apply, just for a current rough guide of what to expect.
sbcmfc
How does it work as far as home and away legs? Are the seeded team home/away first or anything like that??

el-pidge
How does it work as far as home and away legs? Are the seeded team home/away first or anything like that?? I would of thought that the first team out the hat when the draw is done on the 20th July plays their home leg first

Wellfan1984
The Seeded ball is drawn. Then the unseeded ball is drawn. They are then both put into another pot, shaking about and then drawn again. First one out is at home - subject to change due to other teams and fixtures. el-pidge
Nordsjaelland and Copenhagen are both drawing their games 0-0 at half time, been watching the copenhagen game, they have missed a few good chances so far Copenhagen losing 1-0 Nordsjaelland winning 1-
el-pidge
Copenhagen have lost, Nordsjaelland beat Brondy and go top of league. 1.Nordsjaelleand 65pts 2.Copenhagen 63pts Copenhagen have a superior goal diff by +3 Final games are played on wednesday: FC Copenhagen v Silkeborg IF, 19:00FC Nordsjaelland v AC Horsens, 19:00 I would say that's bad news for us as it makes Brugge very unlikely now. Welldaft Mk1
So does it make Copenhagen more likely? Would want to avoid Bucharest since I have been there last time around. Even been to Copenhagen en route to Odense. Apart from Istanbul I was hoping for a new country/city. Panathinaikos and Kiev for me then.....would rather have had Brugge or Braga, but every result including Chelsea winning last night seems to give us less welcome options

If Athens beat Panathinaikos (KO in ten mins) then Brugge are back on. Steaua are quite unlikely now. assuming Copenhagen are now seeds it is between the following, in order, for the last seeded place Panathinaikos 50.920 Club Brugge 35.480 Steaua Bucharest 26.

Wellfan1984
I'm trying to figure that out. Wiki says overall goal difference but Bert Kassies has them ranked as Seeded in the Champions Route. While the Romanian League website has them as Champions as well
el-pidge
Must be down to head to head results I take it an goal difference dont count ? correct cluj steaua drew so it's vaslui who finish 2nd, qualify and won't be seeded - romania is out
Wellfan1984
Panathinaikos join the seeded teams in our round. That gives us PANO, Kyiv and Fenerbahçe and either Copenhagen or Brugge depending on results on Wednesday.
el-pidge
CONFIRMED SEEDED Dynamo Kyiv 62.026 Panathinaikos 50.920 Fenerbache 41.310 CONFIRMED UNSEEDED FC Vaslui 13.764 Feyenoord 12.603 Motherwell 6.728 Copenhagen look to have thrown the league, we will find out on wednesday so if they qualify they knock Club Brugge 35.480 into the unseeded section. If Nordsjaelland 8.005 fail to win the danish league they would qualify unseeded and Brugge would be seeded. I very much want Copenhagen to win the league. steelboy
hopefully copenhagen can do it. nordsjaellend are playing horsens who need a point to clinch third so they have something to play for. brugges would be nancy part two so it would be a shame if we couldn't get them. athens, istanbul and kiev definitely in the hat for us now. only the great capital cities of medieval europe will do for the well in the champions league. steelboy
Who is the weakest of these teams? I suspect Copenhagen and Kiev will have a few players that are involved in the euros? copenhagen - we did well against odense and although they are a better team we shouldn't be scared of them. pana - if the drachma makes a comeback hopefully all their players will fuck off brugges - don't know anything about them. kiev and fenerbahce would ride us. Coolhandluc
Who is the weakest of these teams? I suspect Copenhagen and Kiev will have a few players that are involved in the euros? According to an earlier post (apologies for copying), looks like Brugge are the weakest and Kiev the strongest. Looks like Kiev have about nine players in Ukraine's 26-man Euro squad.Only one Copenhagen player (and one from Brugge)in Danish squad , 3 panathinaikos players in Greek squad.
