The_Pup
Topic came up at todays game, I recolect Stevie scoring a headed goal from either a knock out then back in from a corner or freekick, don't remember who against or when, would say it was in his first spell with us. May even have fabricated the whole event. Hoping someone with a better memory than us stella fuelled few could answer

McFadden flighted a cross in from the right and Craig Easton tried to nod clear but the ball only got as far as Hammell who cracked a superb first-time effort into the back of the net. and Keith Lasley was brought down on the edge of the area by Ross and Hammell curled the resultant free-kick past goalkeeper Kenny Arthur in a moment that David Beckham would have been proud of. Joeboy
Aye Kenny Arthur should easily have saved that free kick too! Jorge Cadete was playing for Partick Thistle that day.

Ya Bezzer!
I have a very vague recollection of Hammell 'scoring' a header which was disallowed at the South Stand end. Is this what you are thinking of?

MJC_MKI
over christmas and the United game was horiffic weather? Struggling to see the other end of the pitch from the DC! Think the game you're thinking of was Boxing Day 98 when we beat Utd 2-0 at FP. Ged Brannan scored with a header before McMillan netted at wind assisted free kick. This was the day of the infamous Boxing Day Hurricaine for any weather experts out there.
