Even if that was the case, it would only be 'Well fans who would read an OSB Facebook page, and surely those people already visit this site?

I'd be willing to bet that you'd get some people who would discover such a Facebook site that don't come here. Have you seen the amount of people who "like" the clubs page? Or the club shops page? Many more people than visit here regularly.

An online version would I think benefit from the ability of folk to be able to respond and comment to articles and points raised.

But isn't that where it becomes a forum, like this one? And I have no desire to regulate a forum. I think first things first we'll do the FB page and see where that takes us, too much discussion would actually be a turn off personally as there's not enough hours in the day at the moment as it is.

Being fairly new to Facebook I didn't consider it an option until lately if I'm honest. Wasn't convinced it would bring too much benefit but the way things are going it's worth a shout obviously. See how it goes

Give the Facebook idea a bash mate, it's free and pretty simple to set up. You can at least then let people know when new issues are due and even ask for contributions and suchlike.

Hmm, not as such, depending upon how its set up. What I was thinking of was more along the lines of how the BBC or the papers publish an article for example one running on their site today about the referendum and allow comments at the foot of it.

There is a degree of moderation involved there in zapping any comments deemed unsuitable but then how many posts are made daily on here each and how many require to be removed? One in every how many thousand?

I've said already my preference would be a paper copy, but the main point of allowing feedback to an online version was that it offers the potential to stimulate discussion on content which could give you more contributions to work with and contributors which was part of what you wanted to achieve no?

As for a Facebook page I personally doubt I would use it. That's not to say it wouldn't attract plenty others - as David points out - the MFC page for example is regularly visited - and it can be a great tool for advertising and publicising stuff - I just don't particularly like it.
