somethingsomethingwell
will he be a replacement for murphy
Guest
Certainly appears he may be. Falkirk fans rave about him anyway. Doesn't seem to have made much of an impact for Huddersfield, but hopefully he'll fill the hole left by Murphy. Guess there'll be a chance that he could become permanent in the summer as well. numpty
Given that he's been handed the No.11 shirt (at least for his MFC TV interview), that certainly seems like the intention.
Malky79
We seem to have been in pretty quick so hoping McCall has been keen to get him and he proves his worth. At the very least if he starts in a similar role to Murphy we won't be 100% sure that he'll cut inside firt time he gets the ball.
Haggischomper
No disrespect intended to the lad but I hope McHugh keeps him on the bench. Bob deserves a run first before this guy. Motherwell first.
Andy_P
I don't know enough about KH to say what type of forward he is and where he can be best utilised certainly agree that McHugh should be due more of an extended run in the second part of the season. His occasional contributions from the bench such as against Aberdeen last season and St Johnstone earlier this year have shown he's always had the capacity to offer something but towards the turn of the year he seemed to be delivering on about as much of a consistent basis as you can, coming on from the bench. Certainly seems due a few starts over an extended period to see what can deliver over ninety minutes.
DEWELL
I think he'll be a good signing for us but i agree about McHugh he should be given a chance.

Wellfan1984
So people want McHugh to play left wing?
MelvinBragg
So people want McHugh to play left wing? No, I think some are suggesting that Ojamaa could play the Murphy role and McHugh could play centrally..
foghorn
No, I think some are suggesting that Ojamaa could play the Murphy role and McHugh could play centrally.. This option would make the most sense, however as a new signing comes in the gaffer usually wants to see how they fit in. Bob might still have to fight for a start. Haggischomper
And that sends the wrong message to our youngsters and fringe players IMO

Steve Diggle
If Higginbotham has been signed on loan then I imagine he'll be turning out for the well (sarcasm) This carry on where loan players are portrayed as undeserving mercenaries who don't deserve a place over existing players is nonsense. The game has changed and loan players are a huge part of it suiting many clubs who can reduce long term financial risk. We also need to remember that, while we've had some disappointments, we've also been served very well by some loanees If he's good enough play him If mcHugh is better then play McHugh Simple really
mfcdez
Agree with Steve Diggle above that simply whoever is best plays . I would , however prefer a starting slot to be McHughs to lose . He has done enough in his gametime up til now to merit a chance , if he fails to deliver then bring Higginbotham in . If the team is to push on for a European challenge then its got to be a case of best 11 , not favourite 11 .
awayoflife
good signing for us. he will do a job up top with higgy
smeddum07
would agree with people that McHugh should start upfront far more mobile than Higdon and can vet on the end of humphs drilled crosses! He works hard and makes up for the little work Higdon does! Also gets close to Higdon and links up well! Having seen alot of Higdon and Murphy while both are gd players neither seemed to be able to play upfront together!think McHugh allows the team to function alot better imo

sinky
Even when he scores a hat-trick? If it includes two penalties then yeah I don't see why not. You shouldn't feel pressured to vote for the big lump up front.
