That is seriously bad for your health! Well done to the boys for holding on but we dont half make it difficult for ourselves at times! Good three points. Joint second. Good gap opening up now between us and bottom 6. COYW!

More nervy than it needed to be in the end but all that matters is that we've got the win and picked up a massive three points.

Well done to big Higdon. Say what you like about him but he is worth his weight in gold with the goals he scores for us.

Motherwell must be the only team in the league that can go 3-0 up with 12 minutes to go and still manage to just hang on for the win!!

Do we really need to score 3 goals to win a game?!

Defence is murder.

Would've bit yer hand off for 3-2 beforehand but that was torture at the end.

Didn't see the last 5 minute or so as I had to leave early but it was a scrappy performance and I felt our goals came against the run of play and St. Johnstone could feel a bit hard done by.

Wouldn't blame Hollis for either of the goals it was just us switching off defensively.

Good result, questionable performance at times.

Agreed. Looked a wee bit rusty at times, and played well at others. Probably didn't deserve to be 3 up, but of course, other games we play better and lose.

Very happy with the result.

Fingernails chewed off. What a lousy display in the last 15 minutes...looked like headless chickens running about. All in all we were lucky to get three points. But it's still a win, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Humphrey was the key as he opened up the game, but without Murphy, he was our only threat going forward as Law was largely quiet. Ojamaa was really ineffective on the wing. Thought Hateley had a nice game. Shame about Randolph, hope it's not long-term.

Oh, and the pitch was an absolute mess.

Well done Hollis - their 2 were unsaveable and he made two very good ones. Great result, but really... Everyone's first touch was atrocious today bar maybe higdon. Would've been so much more comfortable had we not ran ourselves into trouble.

Vital three points today and hope Randolph isn't too bad

I find it difficult so say anything good about today's performance other than we actually somehow unbelieveably in the biggest blag since the Great Train Robbery. WE WIN!!! Totally crap for the full 90 minutes. Defensively dodgy again midfield should have FOUR players in it not 2. So we were Totally dominated in that area. Probably the most annoyed i've EVER felt after a win. But hey we can take our Dick Turpin masks off now cos we're only just off second place.

Quite an afternoon with our finishing just giving us the edge of the piece.

Thought again it helped that an opposition team came to try to win at Fir Park rather than just stop us and that allowed us to do what we are good at by breaking at them with pace. It also helped that defensively in the first half they were all over the shop and we managed to score just when they seemed like they were building a bit of momentum.

Felt they had most of the game in the first half but some good defending and some timely blocks helped us go in those couple of goals to the good at the break

Second half was along similar lines initially and when Higgy got his hat-trick I thought like most it was in the bag.

Don't know how bad his injury is, hopefully the nine or ten days break will be sufficient for him to recover but it just seemed like the whole atmosphere changed. Odd really that the ground seemed to be engulfed in a cloud of apprehension given Hollis last action in the first team was to earn the win against Ross County, especially at 3-0 up but it was apparent nonetheless.

Was it coincidence that Saints made two subbies at exactly the same time as Randy was going off? Good thinking on Lomas part if it was.

Unfortunate for Hollis that his first two actions were to pick the ball out of the net. First unsure if he may have been able to put up more of a fist, the second he had no chance.

And suddenly it was broon pants stuff thereafter. And what an escape injury time with that chance they skied at the back post.

I'd have happily taken a narrow win before the game and still happy to get that after it, just a really nerve wracking way of getting there.

Exactly. You can go on about how St.Johnstone had the better of the game and how we were fortunate all you like but the only important statistic is that we won today and gained a valuable three points. Our performance wasn't great but we still did enough to win so that's a major plus from today.
