TAM
Very expensive trip for the club - just as well Faddy signed on before the draw!
si91
And Dan Petrescu was their manager for a couple of years a little while ago. If the Cisse who played at QPR last year turns up, I don't see much to worry about, he was gash!!

The African
We live in hope- but a difficult task and not much chance of making much from it as they, and ourselves, are not fashionable clubs. If anyone is thinking about going, visas are available from the Russian consulate in Edinburgh (near Haymarket station) as well as the Embassy in London. I found it easier to use a specialist travel agent, just to sort the visa, when I went to Moscow at short notice a few years ago- again, there used to be one in Edinburgh, might still be there. weeyin
$1763 round trip from New York but at least the city has an airport. Won't be going - just curious on prices.
KirkySuperSub
That doesn't look unwelcoming or intimidating at all. And I'm sure all those pitch site stewards are most accommodating.
Bop
What about getting some sort of budget flight to eastern Europe and then a train? Whats the rail network like in/out of Russia?
Ya Bezzer!
As I said in the shout box this team has a pretty impressive home record. 1 defeat in 22. Although they tend to draw quite a few matches so perhaps we can sneak a narrow win and then get a draw over there, you never know it might happen! Seems to be their first ever European tie as far as I can make out.
Guest
What about getting some sort of budget flight to eastern Europe and then a train? Whats the rail network like in/out of Russia? Looking at this, but struggling to find anything better than getting to Moscow then jumping a train from there. Moscow is 1200km from Krasnodar. Fuck that country, it isn't even fucking Europe! fat_tony
Going by Wikipedia, it looks like Kuban had the highest average attendance in the league last season, and the 3rd best goal difference (+20), behind only CSKA and Zenit. Looks like they have a couple of internationals (Belarus, Armenia etc.) and quite a few under-21 internationals. Sacked their manager half way through last season as well! Looks like they've only played one match so far this season, a 1-1 draw with Rubin Kazan. They also changed manager again for the new season, after the guy who got them to 5th went to Lokomotiv Moscow. But to finish 5th in the Russian league with all the money floating about, they certainly won't be mugs.
GazzyB
Will the away tie be on BBC, or is that a ridiculous question?
weeyin
KLM from Glasgow: 13hrs 2 stops and about 700 quid. (about the same price it would take me to fly from here, and about the same duration).
jonnymfc
Dire draw, Think this team will be as strong as any we have played last year in Europe.
Guest
KLM from Glasgow: 13hrs 2 stops and about 700 quid. A bargain! Honestly, fucking Russia. We shouldn't really complain, because we've had some pretty kind draws, but come on!
