milo
Really hope the club get a big turnout for the home leg for all the obvious reasons. I'm still quite surprised the crowds didn't increase noticeably when McFadden came back.
Frazzie
Maybe that's because we're a bit spoiled by having seen the likes of Panathinaikos, Dortmund, Levante and Steaua Bucharest in competitive games in recent years. Bournemouth can only dream of that.
ankles
Anyone paying £65 for a friendly is an idiot. Sorry... Nodding my head in agreement ....then realised i paid £55 for the England v Scotland game
Tweed
Thing is Bournemouth is a wealthy retirement town full of people with loads of money, Motherwell on the other hand is a depressed former Steeltown. People paying £65 for friendlies may well be idiots but you can bet your bottom dollar they are rich idiots who don't have the same decisions in life we do. Wealthy or not, they weren't putting money into the club's coffers when they went into administration a few years ago.
steelboy
Wealthy or not, they weren't putting money into the club's coffers when they went into administration a few years ago. i don't think this game was aimed at only bournemouth fans. there would have been plenty of people at that game who couldn't name the bournemouth players. Brazilian
I'm still quite surprised the crowds didn't increase noticeably when McFadden came back. they did but suppose it depends on what you believe is noticeable, but at £22 PATG its not surprising anyone that did come to see him, did not return week in week out Still think the club miss a trick in general, by not offering a 5 game (domestic) ticket for say £75? PS and aye, bournemouth have average attendence less than 7k, pretty sure it wasnt even a majority that were there to see the home team
