The problem with McManus is he strolls most matches but in every match, he switches off or does something completely ridiculous which generally leads to a goal. He's been at fault for a significant number of goals this year and for me, the partnership between him and Hutchy just hasn't worked. In saying that, they've obviously not been helped by having bombscares of keepers behind them!

The poor midfield also affects the strikers. The midfield is the problem, not McManus.

 

 

I'd go with this as well, I actually think our Defence could be pretty decent given a run of games, I think Gunner is a good keeper who's not yet settled in, McManus and Hutch are good defenders and Ramsden is a way better fullback than Hateley!! Worry slightly about Hammy as his age is catching up with him but my god we've seen a lot worse defences than that watching Motherwell.
