FJ-94
I think this will be a really tough game 1-1 or 1-2 Hopefully wrong but ! Edit: looking at their away stats makes me feel a lot better but !
StipeIsGod
4-0 Motherwell. Faddy x2 and Sutton, with a surprise goal from Carswell or someone.
MJC_MKI
Any word on the game possibly being off tomorrow? I heard today the park had been flooded over the past few days and the cant get machines on it to clear the water? Heard that aswell, it was mentioned on FPC. Think they'll wait and see what it's like tomorrow but if we get any more torrential rain between now and then it could put the game in serious doubt. underboyleheating
According to Twitter: No plans for an inspection, if the game had been yesterday it would have been in doubt, however, the dry day today has helped and the game should be fine to go ahead as planned. Ya Bezzer!
Agree with the reasoning above but on the flip we side we have now won 4 league games on the trot. Have we ever won 5 or 6 league games in a row? Thinking of both this game and the inverness game coming up. Here's our runs for this season and the last 5 seasons 13-14 - 4 league wins in a row; 5 league matches undefeated 12-13 - 3 league wins in a row; 8 league matches undefeated 11-12 - 3 league wins in a row; 6 league matches undefeated 10-11 - 2 league wins in a row; 4 league matches undefeated 09-10 - 3 league wins in a row; 12 league matches undefeated 08-09 - 2 league wins in a row; 9 league matches undefeated [EDIT] Actually going back one further season 07-08 - 5 league wins in a row; 6 league matches undefeated. So there is the answer we managed 5 league wins on the trot in 2007/08 which was Mark McGhee's first season. The run was Inverness (a) 3-0, Kilmarnock (a) 1-0, Gretna (h) 3-0, Hearts (a) 2-1 and Aberdeen (h) 3-0.
superward
Heard that aswell, it was mentioned on FPC. Think they'll wait and see what it's like tomorrow but if we get any more torrential rain between now and then it could put the game in serious doubt. According to the met office/bbc: No rain overnight, apart from the chance of one light rain shower 6am - 7am, then dry until 2pm. So, it should be good to go. Might get a bit muddy underfoot during the game if the rain does persist at that time but then who doesn't love a big muddy slidey (apart from the groundsman probably!) :-)
punk_in_drublic
I'd bring Hutchison back and also consider swapping Vigurs for Lawson/Carswell. Having said that, how can you argue about a team that won 5 - 1. Maybe drop ZFA and play Anier in that position with Sutton and Faddy up top, possibly move Carswell up into Vigurs position and bring Hutchison into defence. texanwellfan
So we have won 5 in a row before but still somewhat unfamiliar territory for us. Would be great to see them beat St Johnstone AND Caley. 5 or 6 wins in a row is some going for any Motherwell team, not just this season's squad!! delboy
can't see any reason why the game won't go ahead but by 3pm it will be pissing with rain and strong winds so you can forget a skillful game of football as for the result, fingers crossed for 3 more points (and I don't care how we get them) just make sure you wear your waterproofs
Judge Jules
McCall is keeping his cards close to his chest about todays team. Match preview on the BBC website says he has no fresh injury worries but he will be changing the team to deal with the busy fixture schedule. Will be interesting to see what he does
GazzyB
Fairly certain we'll see Faddy benched today.
Toxteth O'Grady
From Motherwell's Twitter: 'Well make two changes to the side that won at Firhill 3 days ago. McFadden & Francis-Angol drop out, Hutchinson & Sutton are in. Motherwell: Twardzik, Hammell, Ramsden, Hutchinson, McManus, Sutton, Vigurs, Lasley, Carswell, Anier, Ainsworth [/url] Subs: Nielsen, McFadden, Lawson, Cummins, McHugh, Francis-Angol, Moore
Judge Jules
Looks a good side. If they play to their best 3 points are on the cards
Well73
Would take a point today to be honest, but the greedy monster in me wants 3 points and a few goals. I think it will be a tough one. 2-1 for the good guys
Brazilian
Should have been 3 or 4 clear in the first 30minutes, st Johnstone came back into it with a fair bit of decent play Would be nice to put it to bed early, weather is howling

Judge Jules
Still a while to go in the games but results could not be going much better. Sheep and United cutting each others throats and ICT getting gubbed by County. Happy days
Judge Jules
3-0 3 points in the bag !! This is helping me deal with the new year hangover
punk_in_drublic
One important aspect of the recent uplift is that the midfield have started scoring. That's Lasley, Vigurs, ZFA and Ainsworth all chipped in recently.
El Grew
As I said on another post fantastic response from the players after the Albion Rovers debacle. Outside Celtic we are the form team in the SPFL at present. We'll done Stuart McCall and the players.
David
Well done Stuart McCall and the players. Fuck that, we're relegation candidates for sure. Get McCall to fuck. Where do we go from here?
weeyin
One important aspect of the recent uplift is that the midfield have started scoring. That's Lasley, Vigurs, ZFA and Ainsworth all chipped in recently. That had been our biggest failing this season for me, but glad to see the midfield has clicked into gear in the past few games. Lifts the pressure from our strikers and our defence.
punk_in_drublic
If we can get 3 points against ICT McCall should be given the freedom of Motherwell, the freedom to walk into everyone's hoose uninvited. Wasn't at the match but it sounds like it was an outstanding performance. Great to see Ainsworth now up to speed, his goal count is mounting. Geedub
Brilliant performance. Twice in 4 days I've watched us absolutely pump someone and been annoyed we didn't score more.
Shaka
Fantastic all round and credit where its due the last 5 games have been unreal! How is it possible to go from the 2 worst results of our season,1 the worst in the clubs history, to 5 wins in a row, clean sheets, goals galore & a new found swagger. He may not be my favourite, but well done Stuart McCall
