You do realise that the famous Bangor City FC are going to win 5-0 on Thursday? drinks.gif

I'm half hoping you do it, i'd win a small fortune and the last trip to Wales wasn't too shabby.

Yes, 1000 is the maximum as game has to be all seated.

Again - Bangorbloke i assumed from your post that yiu went to the 1st leg in Iceland. So were the 1000 seats full.

i ask because there a quite a few Well fans booking to make this trip and no guarantee of tickets.

Ta.

Yes, I went out there. From my position the seats certainly looked full. The ground is so open on 3 sides that I'm sure a vantage point could be found from outside as well.

That's the news I was hoping for.

I assume not exactly shorts and t-shirt weather when you were there

When is the deadline for signing players in times for next week's tie?

Last seasons were :

  Quote
18.13 List A has to be submitted by the following fixed deadlines:

a) 24 June 2013 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the first qualifying round;

b) 12 July 2013 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the second qualifying round;

c) 26 July 2013 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the third qualifying round;

d) 12 August 2013 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the play-off round;

e) 2 September 2013 (24.00 CET) for all further matches from the first match

in the group stage up to and including the final.

18.14 For the three qualifying rounds and the play-offs, a club may register a

maximum of one new eligible player on List A after the above-mentioned

deadlines, provided the quota of locally trained players is respected. Such

registration must be completed by 24.00 CET on the day before the relevant

first-leg match and the club's association must confirm in writing that the new

player is eligible to play at domestic level at this time.

18.15 If the registration of such a new player causes the number

Don't imagine it'll be much different

What's the average temperatures... 12º-13º? Be warmer when we hit Torino in the next round at any rate then the new shorts can come out :)

Has the next round been ( provisionally) drawn? I know the dates are 31 July and 8th august, have home and way been decided too?

More like down jacket an hand warmers. HONESTLY - it's feckin freezing!

A few other points picking up on various things I've read on here:

Transport from Airport

A bus leaves the airport for Reykjavik about 40 minutes after every flight arrives. The cost is about 2400 krona. You can book the return via your hotel usually. Taxis cost in the region of £80-£100.

We were lucky in that the club organised for a coach to meet the majority of us at the airport.

Beer (the important bit!!)

There is NO bar at the ground itself. They do have a supporters bar located a 10-15 minute walk (or stagger) from the ground. In Reykjavik itself we used the Dubliner pub. He dropped the prices for us to 500 krona a pint (about £2.50). Had a great time in there and highly recommended.

Reykjavik is expensive for just about everything unless you look around. It also NEVER goes dark. Bright light in the beer garden at midnight was slightly strange.

And finally...... did I mention it's bloody freezing there but Bangor are going to win 5-0 anyway? ph34r.gif

type in Iceland league into ggogle and you can see they are second having played 10 games. Won 6 drew 4. Does not look like they played a league game since playing Bangor. Interestingly they play top of the table team on Sunday. 1st v2nd.
