steelman1991
For those who have not seen it (and knowing it will drop off the chat box soon), if the Icelandic mob get through and score against us you can expect something like this That's brilliant. orange county dosser
a recently expired passport means I'd be delighted if we get Bangor ! just about to book time off work now ........I think the last 2 weeks in July look good :-)
weesacs
Bangor City only have a capacity of 1500 max seated.... queue mass hysteria for ticket allocation if they get though which i think they will based on seeding and recent club history. and the other mob have 1000!! if it's in Wales - then you might find, and its a big might cos I have no idea how the rules work - that it might get moved to Wrexham or Chester (but they play under the English FA, so i have no idea how that will work either!) steelboy
if it's iceland celtic will be in town at the same time. I went in 2010 and had a great time but with the cost it's definitely not worth repeating a trip. Bangor would ideal if we get enough tickets. JULIANTHELONDONCABBIE
Bangor have a new ground which holds 3,000 but last won in Europe in 2010, they have lost heavily in 2 out of the last 3 years.
weeyin
hope we get somewhere with a scottish/irish bar so we can start the march from it Do you also look for Icelandic bars in Glasgow when we're playing Celtic away?
Andy Harrow
Shit draw, at least our best international embassador was there to witness events (but not swing a Serbia or Hungarian draw. Heyho.
ropy
Official site says full details of home/away when they are confirmed. Any reason to think the home leg my not be 17th?
Guest
There's a couple of things that might muddle it. If Bangor come through their game, I imagine it'll be home first, if Stjarnan do, surely that'll lead to issues in Reykjavik with Celtic being there at the same time. That and the Commonwealth games curveball.
numpty
I can get to Bangor on the ferry in three hours from here. If it wasn't for the fact I only get back from my summer hols that morning I might have considered it :/
Sup3rw3ll
Bangor have a new ground which holds 3,000 but last won in Europe in 2010, they have lost heavily in 2 out of the last 3 years. i think that is 3000 standing, and 1500 seated. the Iceland teams capacity is not an issue as i can't see anymore that 100 odd absolute max going to Iceland. Welldaft Mk1
The day after the 1st leg edit - missing the home leg 'cos I'm still in Portugal. Might see if I can make it to Wales if that's where we end up. That would be good if the home leg is 1st as been reported. Can then wait to see if we get another sh1t draw and make hasty arrangements to get up to Iceland - most probably likely to be Iceland looking at the 2 teams. If we get a PSV or Real Sociedad I would hope we could get through and would save money and time to go the that away game. Will defo go to Wales (tickets permitting) if Bangor City win the tie. Bop
Anyone been to Iceland before? How dear is it once you get there? Flights aren't coming in anywhere near as pricey as I thought they would.
JULIANTHELONDONCABBIE
It's at least £5 a pint, hence most locals go to supermarket for a carry out, puffin burgers are £8, it's expensive.
dosser1886
Went last year, it is expensive but not as mental as some of the stuff you read. We went with Icelandair and they were excellent. Planned to go back some time soon as well so this might fi the bill, fingers crossed. Airport is Tax and duty free as well, so can stock up on the way home. Pretty much this. Its expensive compared to going to Wetherspoons in Motherwell, but compared to spending time in London or that, pretty similar. The prices do go up a bit in the summer. That said, its a fantastic part of the world. Can absolutely recommend it if you're going for the football or otherwise. Pick up your absolute limit going through the duty free when you get off the plane in Keflavik as well (theres a wee supermarket number of cheaper booze), and you're sorted for at least one day... Half hoping we get Stjarnan so I have a reason to go back.

Stefan Lindqvist
It's been reported that Celtic are currently in talks to get their games switched round. So looks like they will probably play their 2nd leg at home. Which would make you think ours will stay as it is playing home 1st and away 2nd. Also help keep the price of flights from rocketing before we can even book up.

Bop
If Celtic are away first doesn't that mean they will be there at the same time as us? Or are the champions league qualifiers on different dates?

Bop
Thats what i'd thought, but then surely flight prices will skyrocket? I was replying to Stefan Lindqvist above.
