Frazzie
Couldn't agree more, Paul Quinn was another - his first touch was phenomenal at RB. As much as he was criticised at the time, we haven't had a right back anywhere near as good as Quinn since he left.
steelboy
i watched a bit of doncaster last friday and he had a good game and he was getting praised on sky on monday when they kept millwall scoreless with ten men. if hammell was 6ft 1 like quinn he probably wouldn't have played 100 games for us. Despite being slightly shorter though, Hammell usually judges the aerial ball exceptionally well. The number of times he wins the ball in the air against a taller opponent is very impressive. It is, however, very weird when I realise that he's really been the only Well left back I've known. (Paterson and Murphy being the shorter term others)
