Geedub
Who is your player of the year 13/14? I had difficulty picking between Sutton and Lasley but the latter just shades it. Loves to boss games and will never shite out a tackle.

Frazzie
If Ramsden hadn't got injured, it would have been him. If Vigurs had a first half to match the second half of the season, it would have been him. If Carswell had a bit more game time he would have been a shout. As it is, it's between the captain and big Handsome, I wouldn't grudge either of them but Lasley gets my vote marginally, especially as Sutton will have the Top Goalscorer trophy in the bag. joewarkfanclub
Vigurs has finished strongly and is clearly the best footballer in our team, however, it took him a long time to get going. Sutton has his critics and could be considered to be somewhat limited in what ge can do, but he gives his all every game and his goals return means we have barely missed Higdon. However, my player of the season for shear endeavour and consistency of performance is the housewives favourite Captain Keef Lasley.
Brazilian
Over the full season can only really be between Lasley and Sutton difficult to call it, goals have been so important, but so has the grit that the team has shown to grind out the points, more than any season I can recall and much of that stems from Lasley, who would get my vote
Goggles & Flippers
Shame neither of the two with pedigree and experience in abundance at a higher level feature. Sutton for me, had to prove many wrong on his return, to get to his total without the support offered to Higdon from Ojamma and Law plus only having one penalty awarded makes his total pretty remarkable in context. As many have pointed out, edged it over Keith who does a thankless and often overlooked task in the middle.
Judge Jules
Dan Twardzik. Nuff said.
weeyin
I didn't fancy Sutton when he came back, but he proved that after all these years I still know nothing about the game. So my vote for the big man.
Burn_Broomfield
It can only go to Keith Lasley.
Al B
First half of the season Ramsden was a stick -on, and second half of the season it's been Vigurs, but over the course of the full thing it has to be Lasley, with Sutton close behind. something else
Got to agree with a couple of posters above. Ramsden was way ahead before his injury and vigurs has been the stand out since new year. Lasley for his consistency over the course of the season gets my vote. Ya Bezzer!
Lasley has been our best and most consistent performer over the season. Probably next I'd have Sutton and not just for his goals. In third place I'd have Ian Vigurs, took a wee while to settle in but has generally been very good over the last 6 months or so and is a bit of a class act when he's on his game. Kmcalpin
John Sutton for me. He knows his limitations and has been at his best when allowed to play to them.
Spiderpig
Sutton for me, as slow as a week in the jail but he knows how to score, 22 league goals is a great return
TAM
I'd go with Vigurs. Accept he seemed slow to get going but given it was mostly a change of position from what he played at County, I think that's understandable. The levels he has reached in the last 2-3 months give me great hope going forward.
bladesman
Sutton for me. To come back to the club after a wretched time at swinecastle and to get the number of goals he has without the supply available from last year is outstanding. Hopefully he's got another couple in his locker for Sunday lunchtime....
Well Up For It! Exactly my stance, although only seen 7 games this year.
claretband
Lasley but with a very honourable mention to big John. Still baffles me how anyone could have doubted him given his performances the last time he was here.
weeyin
Lasley but with a very honourable mention to big John. Still baffles me how anyone could have doubted him given his performances the last time he was here. Two reasons for me. Firstly, he didn't play his best until the last 6 months of his contract. Secondly, after his enforced absences from regular first team action, you can't be sure how that will affect a guy's confidence or form. A third resason (at no extra cost) is the potential abuse he ws likely to take (as per Hollis, Vigurs, Lawson etc.) from some fans for not being exactly like the guy he replaced. Having said that, I wasn't expecting him to be mince - but was not expecting a 20+ season from him.
Dosser30
It's been a team effort this year but if I was to give anyone Player of the Year it would be John Sutton. 22 goals this season speaks for itself.

Shaka
Not sure about the Lasley love in,he has been decent at times, occasionaly superb but ive seen him 3 times this season be utter shite, most recently a waste of a jersey against Utd. POTY has to be Sutton, then prob Ainsworth,10 goals n as many assists from wing is a superb contribution
DEWELL
John Sutton for me.
