coldonmac
Why is it every week during the pre-match warm the players waste their time practicing shooting from either outside of or the edge of the penalty box? Because every game (especially last night) they want to walk the ball into the net and it all breaks down. Take a chance and shoot!!
Suprawell
Agreed, Muttley seems to want every player around the box to roll the ball, touch it, slide it to someone who is in a better position to shoot. We should be getting our strikers to make space for their own soht or encourage players to take shots on, rather than trying to set up a "perfect" goalscoring opportunity. It was very apparent last night.
Wellfan1984
Because it is a Keeper warm up more than anything. That's why it is usually Melly taking the warm up and not Leitch.
Steve Diggle
See to be fair I agree with the point that we can be over elaborate and less direct than we were last season. But last night - Sheridan, Hughes, O'Brien, Clarkson and others all shaped up for shots but were closed down really quickly by St Mirren's defence. If it's a keeper warm up, why is always the sub goalie that they're shooting into?
DC'd
Definitely can't be regarded as a keeper warm up, as well Gunnar just stood there letting the ball whistle past him into the net or when up against DLS the 14th row of the Cooper. Suppose at least Artur seems to be making more of an effort and actually contributing to the warm up.

The guys by no means my favourite player but he can finish a ball.
mcguru
Confucious, he say: "I'd rather see 10 shots go out for a shy than 1 effort that hits the post."
