Kmac
It could be that we are going to need something similar this season; Van Der Gaag could be just the ticket to inspire it.
steelman1991
Forget the free-kick - its crowds of that size we could be doing with.
weeyin
Van Der Gaag could be just the ticket to inspire it. He didn't exactly inspire the team that season, or we wouldn't have needed his free kick.
steelboy
Butcher has issued a statement saying he doesn't want the job anymore. I wonder why he did that?
bigbuff
I would imagine that Terry has been called and told he's not getting it :-) hopefully an announcement is imminent.
mikeecee
Possibly because he ain't allowed to bring that fucktard Malpas with him!!! Now we just need Fucktard No 2 Shiels to say something similar!!!
Well Well
Butcher has issued a statement saying he doesn't want the job anymore. Excellent news.
weeyin
Possibly because he ain't allowed to bring that fucktard Malpas with him!!! Now we just need Fucktard No 2 Shiels to say something similar!!! Shiels has already been linked to the St. Mirren job (along, of course, with Stark and Adams). The press are just cutting and pasting "St. Mirren" into their old Motherwell articles.

weeyin
Why? He was only given an interview as a favour to an agent If the Board has time to interview people they don't want to hire to do favours for agents who will reciprocate by trying to screw them over at every turn, they need to rethink their priorities. Seeing as it's not the board, per se, who are conducting interviews... Thought you would know that from the lofty stance you normally take.

Welldaft Mk1
Mixed feelings about Butcher. I would not have been unhappy to see him back minus Malp1sh of course. Perhaps as mentioned the stumbling block. At this rate it will be Kenny Black till the end of the season

Lobey_Dosser
Relieved that Butcher is out the running and hope that he wasn't in serious contention. He'll now continue to pick up his full wage from Hibs.
The African
So basically Butcher has wasted our time with his application and interview.Wonder if we will ever find out why he has decided he no longer wants the job?Still, we have dodged a bullet as he is a shite manager. Or, perhaps, he decided he didn't want the job as a result of the interview. An interview isn't just to see if an employer likes the look of you, it works both ways. Other than being equally skint, I'd imagine things are a bit different at the club now than they were the last time he was in charge. This is a sad attempt at face saving from Butcher after the media pushed hard for him at the weekend.

milo
Even if the new manager is appointed tomorrow morning it will give him a whopping day and a half to get to know the players before the massive massive game on Saturday. Bravo once again Motherwell.
Lobey_Dosser
Media will continue to peddle the idea that their pal Butcher was the front runner for the job and Motherwell are disappointed.
