something else
the scottish game will never move forward if old school hangers on like stark are in a job,i seriously hope we aren't wasting our time giving him as much as an interview. Agree 100%
MelvinBragg
It's Butcher's to turn down. Let's hope he does so. Can't see us having the cash to get rid of Black so Butcher won't be allowed to bring Malpas with him. Could be a sticking point?

Lobey_Dosser
Really struggling to see the appeal of Butcher. He was a decent fit for Motherwell at our most difficult times but he isn't the man to take us forward. And given his track record for relegating clubs, he shouldn't be in the reckoning. David
I'd love to see either Maaskaant or Van der Gaag given a chance, a breath of fresh air and all that. It'll probably be Butcher though from what I'm hearing in the media

It'll probably be Butcher though from what I'm hearing in the media It's not reports in the media that concern me but people like Burn Broomfield stating it. Media have little interest in us and it leads to lazy stories that have no real substance. Posters on here not known for spreading nonsense start saying the job is Butcher's, then I get worried... Haggischomper
Thought Butcher said he was done in Scotland? Anyway, what's Rob Mattei up to these days? Wasn't he an assistant to someone in Holland?
MelvinBragg
All these Dutch ex-Well players mentioned. Where's Luc Nijholt these days..?
Big Wispy Flossy
I'm convinced it won't be butcher (maybe confused with hope it won't be)
postiejim
Butcher? I couldn't care less anymore .But its a good indication where the club is going under the present regime and the Well society.....backwards. If true!

weeyin
Butcher's record was pretty poor with us, and then he walked away while still under contract after spinning porkies about mid-season holidays in Australia. More worrying, he took over a Hibs side in a better (although still poor) situation and conspired to get them relegated. He was the right man at the right time for his original stint. Not this time I fear. No thanks.

Coolhandluc
In reply to Eddie .....Don't have a problem with it. He did the honourable thing to resign and the dust has now settled on him leaving. It's a clever move by Sky to give some insight into the Well team and gives McCall some exposure too
smiddy
does the new manager get the gig this week before our run of V I P games ??????
MelvinBragg
It's getting close to the point where it doesn't matter who we appoint, we just need to appoint someone so that whoever it turns out to be gets started on the job in hand. This has dragged on so long that it's gone beyond "taking time to get the right man". The board have had quite a while to study the applications and weigh up their options. We can't start planning for January until a decision is made...
kmmfc
Burrows said on the radio today that they hope to have someone in place by next Saturday. Interviewed 2 yesterday and interviewing early part of the week.
sbcmfc
seen him getting out a taxi with Bart Verheul at the Lithuanian club in Bellshill tonight I liked Bart Verheul, purely because he had the same name as Bart Simpson, and I was about 7. Haggischomper
All these Dutch ex-Well players mentioned. Where's Luc Nijholt these days..? I'm just floating names in the hope the press come up with a "Dark Horse Shock on Motherwell Shortlist" headline. one m in motherwell
Chat in the VP club today was that an announcment was going to be made monday morning. Did Flow not confirm they were interviewing at the start of next week too? Bit strange to make an announcement before you've spoken to everyone on the shortlist?
