Al B
I wouldn't blame Long at all, and I wouldn't have blamed Dan or Gunnar either. Was right in front of me and I only realised the boy had hit it when I heard it hit the net...didn't even see it.
Shire Greats
1425918577[/url]' post='434671']Twardzik would be getting crucified on here if he'd let that in. At a push , you could blane him for that goal, he's still got a few to go to match Dan
Malky79
Twardzik would have gotten pelters for that, it was a sweetly struck shot and would credit any keeper who made it with a good safe. It's not a howler but I'm pretty sure Long will feel it was saveable. Nice play from Killie there but there is a shortlist of players who could look at themselves and think they should have done more to prevent it starting with McDonald losing it fairly cheaply followed by the closest Motherwell player to Westlake who could have closed down a bit quicker before he got into his stride. Wellfan1984
Keeper will be annoyed about it, but the whole shouldn't be beat at the near is wrong. Sometimes the ball is passed before you can react and if you do save ones like that is cause the ball hits you.
Kmcalpin
George Long is quite entitled to feel hard done by at the goal. The scorer should never have been allowed time and space to get so close to goal and be able to fire off an almost unstoppable shot unchallenged and at close range. It was the level of defending you'd expect to see in a school playground.
