Ballso
I knew I recognised the name Keith Campbell. He's the guy that was brought into improve the commercialism of the SPFL when Doncaster was failing badly. Not sure when he left there or was responsible for the QTS/Ladbrokes deals. His name was bandied about online a bit as an email of his was leaked apparently offering some obscure fizzy drinks company the title sponsorship. Certainly has a fair reputation and cv and can only improve marketing and commercialism at FP. The groundsman has a tough task to live up to Mikey Ellis too. The pitch has been great the past couple of years.
daver
According to the club website, Craigan has been managing the under 19's for the past two years so he has experience in a similar role and must have the appropriate qualifications. WishyWell
What is Scott Leitch's role at the club again, academy director? So does Crags report to Leitchy or Baraclough, I'm confused ?! The Academy finishes at u17 age-group. Crags will work with Leitchy in their separate roles and will report to the manager. The manager does take a close interest in the young ones anyway.
weeyin
Wonder if JJ will be heading back to his old stomping ground at Ibrox. I also read yesterday Gary McAllister is taking over First Team coaching at Liverpool. Unlike Craigan, I don't know if that will allow him to continue with his BT Sport duties - which would be a shame as I always enjoyed his contributions. I still have Craigan's signed jersey from an early Steelmen Online Sponsorship raffle - is it worth more now?

Dezz
The chat from a County Fan on P&B is that we have outbid them, in terms of wage contribution, for Jackson Irvine on loan from Celtic. I was impressed whenever I saw him for County last year and he would certainly add some energy and dynamism to the middle of the park. Would be quite happy with that providing it's doesn't hinder Jack Leitch's chances for some game time.
 I hate that if a player becomes a crucial part of your team, he has to drop out when he plays against his parent club upsetting your team's rhythm...
 postiejim
No thanks. Hold that result IF we are after him it might be a permanent deal not a loan, seemingly Ross county wanted tae sign the player permanently. Andy_P
I think if the manager considers the loanee to be a significantly better option than what we have already, then we shouldn't close the door on signing from the same league just because we might lose them for 3 or 4 games, when you might benefit considerably from them in another 35 or 36. It's disappointing they have to drop out but it's disappointing when a player sits injured in the stand for six months, or they going around toeing people and get banned for 2 or 3 games. You cope. But that said I would agree if there isn't much of a difference, and keeping in mind the philosophy of promoting from within to try to tempt improved sales, I'd prefer our own players got the nod. Agreed Andy. Our results against Celtic this season won't determine our final league position. Jackson Irvine is a very mobile, aggressive and competitive player. On more than one occasion he bossed our midfield and is certainly one of the "They shall not pass" brigade. If you need to take a player out to stop him you do it, just don't get caught. He was one of the reasons for County's late run of successes. All that said I have absolutely no idea if there is any truth in this rumour or not.
