Well Up For It!
Brines is always poor as far as I'm concerned. His arrogance is as large as his talents as a ref is small. Totally agree - Brines is one of our worst referees, and a ref who must be the centre of attention in the games he referees.... That said, I thought he did ok yesterday - well ok in the 2nd half at least. I have seen him have much worse games. But still - not near enough to the standard that is accepatble. DEWELL
Although overall i dont rate 'Father' Brines i have to say he did ok yesterday apart from that assault on Craigan in the 1st half from Vinegar Of Castlemilk. He gave THEM a foul for it UNBELIEVABLE! .
foghorn
He was absolute shite. Allowed Caldwell and others to dominate him and the players ran the show. Had opportunities to book plenty in Green, but decided to give 1st card to Maros for a shove and then allowed others away with similar. The hundreds who booed from both sides of the support were right.
El Grew
Honestly no better or worse than any other Scottish referee in charge of the OF. They allow themselves to be intimidated and conned far too easily. But then they are like electricity - they always take the course of least resistance. Incidentally, it wasn't Strachan that got Klimpl booked for the challenge on Naylor - it was his Mr Angry sidekick Gary Pendrey who spent the entire game behaving like a cross between The Tasmanian Devil and a Werewolf. Quite what the 4th official is there for is beyond me.
